Last week, Taria Health was on the ground in Nairobi as the Official Wellness Sponsor and health support partner for the 3rd Global Sickle Cell Disease Conference — the first GASCDO Global Conference to be held on African soil.

For three days, our clinical and wellness teams supported sickle cell warriors, conference participants, diplomats, dignitaries and Ministry of Health officials through preventive health assessments, clinical review and wellness support, with coordination of acute and urgent care where needed.

It was an opportunity to bring our approach to healthcare into a global setting — combining prevention, clinical assessment and care coordination to support people beyond the traditional clinical encounter.

We appreciate Global Alliance of Sickle Cell Disease Organizations , the organising team, our partners and our clinical teams for the opportunity to contribute to this important gathering.

From Nairobi, Africa continues to contribute to the global conversation on sickle cell health.

Last week, we were honoured to serve as the Official Wellness Sponsor of the 14th Gospel Blooms International Conference, supporting more than 2,000 women across four days with preventive health screening, nutrition and wellness support.

This week, Taria Health was featured in the Daily Nation in a powerful story about wellness screening—and the unexpected wake-up calls that can come from simply taking the time to understand your health.

It got us thinking.

How often do we wait until something feels wrong before we check?

We tell ourselves:

“I’m fine.”
“I’ll do it later.”
“I feel healthy.”

But sometimes, feeling well isn’t the same as knowing you’re well.

A wellness screening isn’t about fear.

• It’s about awareness.
• It’s about knowing where you stand today so you can make better choices for tomorrow.
