Six months of learning, mentorship, and meaningful connections at the AMREF Innovation Hub.

New perspectives. New possibilities. A deeper understanding of what it takes to build for impact.

Grateful for the journey and recognition through Amref International University through Africa Health Collaborative , in partnership with Mastercard Foundation

Our biggest takeaway? A mother doesn't experience nutrition as a business problem. She experiences it through everyday choices, resources, and realities.

That's where meaningful innovation must begin. Nourishing mothers requires more than good products. It requires understanding their world.

Every place we go, we learn more about what mothers need.
A social media post led us to Wama Hospital ’s Pregnancy Fair in Ongata Rongai, where mothers met us, asked questions, tasted N’Lishe and shared their nutrition concerns. That first interaction opened another door: an invitation to speak with mothers attending ANC.
It is about listening closely, understanding what makes good nutrition difficult and finding practical ways to support them.
We’re grateful to Wama Hospital and Amref International University for supporting us as we build N’Lishe within the health and community systems mothers already trust.

Food, nutrition and supplements are connected — but they are not the same thing.

Food is the foundation.
Nutrition is about what your body needs and what it actually receives.
Supplements can support specific nutritional needs — but they do not replace food.

And during pregnancy and breastfeeding, the real challenge is often consistency.

You may know what eating well looks like, but appetite changes, time gets tight, budgets shift and preparing balanced meals every day can be difficult.

That’s the space N’Lishe is designed to support: complementing the food mothers already eat and making everyday nourishment easier to maintain.

Food first.
Support where needed.
Nourishment throughout.

N’Lishe does not replace prescribed supplements such as IFAS or clinical care.

What does “eating well” mean to you? Tell us in the comments. 👇🏾

We brought nutrition to life the N’Lishe way at Jacaranda Maternity & Family Hospital last weekend — with a little play, a little surprise, and conversations around nourishing mothers and babies during the first 1,000 days.

Because learning about nutrition doesn’t always have to feel serious.

Sometimes, you just have to spin the wheel.

We spent Saturday with mothers, families and healthcare professionals at the AAR Hospital Pregnancy Fair. 🤎

A day of meeting new people, sharing, tasting N’Lishe and having conversations around nutrition during pregnancy, breastfeeding and the first 1,000 days.

Thank you to everyone who came by our booth, asked questions and took the time to learn about N’Lishe.

And a special thank you to the AAR team for having us.

We’re grateful for the conversations, the connections and the opportunity to keep showing up.

N’Lishe — nourishing the first 1,000 days. 🌱
