Simple markings showed exactly where to place the hands and feet. A clear cue ‘touch your nose’ helped simplify the movement. And we got a full wall push-up.

A day of learning and collaboration at RehabX! 🧠✨

Yesterday, we welcomed guest lecturer Mr Joseph Buttell, Consultant Physiotherapist from Homerton University, for a full-day CPD seminar exploring medical and therapeutic interventions for spasticity.

Occupational therapists and Physiotherapists came together to deepen their knowledge, share clinical perspectives and explore multidisciplinary approaches to spasticity management.

Thank you to Mr Buttell for sharing his expertise, and to everyone who joined us!

A special thank you to Gaby Meli, Occupational Therapist, and Fleur Vella, Neurophysiotherapist, for organising this valuable learning opportunity. 👏

Join us at RehabX for a course by our guest speaker Mr Joseph Buttell, Consultant Physiotherapist from Homerton University, specialising in neurological rehabilitation and injection therapy.

This course aims to provide healthcare professionals working with neurological patients with a comprehensive overview of the assessment and management of spasticity.
The course will combine theoretical teaching with clinical discussion on assessment, goal setting and multidisciplinary management strategies. It will highlight the importance of rehabilitation alongside medical interventions to optimise patient outcomes, and will feature case studies of patients treated at Homerton Hospital Spasticity Clinic.

Meet Shaheel Salim, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sport, Exercise and Health at MCAST alongside his sport as a cricket player.

After experiencing a shoulder injury that affected his own performance, Shaheel developed a deeper interest in injury prevention, mobility and smarter training.
