𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵® 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗺
For people living with incontinence, care is about much more than hygiene.
It is about protecting fragile skin, reducing discomfort and preserving dignity in deeply personal moments.
When Swash® began rethinking assisted daily bathing in 1996, the goal was simple: to improve patient hygiene and support infection prevention for dependent patients.
As the Swash® Bathing concept became part of daily care routines, another challenge became increasingly apparent: incontinence care.
And that’s where the story of Swash® Perineum products begins.
Repeated exposure to urine and faeces can quickly compromise vulnerable skin, leading to Incontinence-Associated Dermatitis (IAD), discomfort and pain. To help address this challenge, Swash® developed 𝗦𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵® 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗺 products containing a lotion with 𝟯% 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗲 to 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲.
In 2019, we introduced 𝗦𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗵® 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀+ Wipes with the patented Trixotric® lotion formula, enriched with 𝗛𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝗶𝗱, Bentonite and Hydrogel.
During World Continence Week 2026, we reflect on why proper incontinence management matters.
Good incontinence care is not only about what we use, but how we care. It is about protecting vulnerable skin, reducing discomfort and supporting people in moments where dignity should always come first.
Today, Swash® Incontinence products continue to support caregivers in delivering effective continence care while helping protect skin, preserve comfort and support infection prevention.
