Action: as medical students, we are concerned for the community around us and endeavor to do things for the benefit and improvement of our fellow citizens. Dear all,
This it to inform you that NMA has started Bus shuttle services in various routes inside Kathmandu valley for all health workers.
AMSA-Nepal along with NMSS and BOH-IOM has collaborated with NMA for providing shuttle services for the staffs, nurses, resident doctors and intern doctors of TUTH.
We hope this will be of great help to all the front line health workers who are fighting this pandemic at the frontier risking their own lives. We would like to thank NMA for starting this service and keeping our health workers motivated.

AMSA- International is honored to announce that the submission to become a part of the eNewsletter Editorial Board 2020/2021 is finally open! Now is the chance for you to join the excitement of AMSA International new tenure!

Editorial Board is a team created for AMSA International eNewsletter that consists of Chapter Representatives and Layout Designers.

The AMSA International's eNewsletter is a regular publication designed to keep our members informed on activities and programs run at local chapters and throughout the organization. It serves to provide regular communication with medical students from all chapters. All members are also welcome to submit articles and other materials to the Newsletter.

With AMSA International’s widely spread geographical regions, a strong and consistent editorial board is required. The eNewsletter Editorial Board will assist the Chief Editor of eNewsletter in collecting information, articles, and illustrations from various sources to publish in the newsletter.

Here are some key positions that are officially opened in this editorial board recruitment:

1. Chapter Representative

Job Description:
• In charge of collecting articles and other materials from the respective chapter and contacting the Regional Chairperson and chapter members to publish in AMSA International’s Newsletter.
• To help in the verification of facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources.
• To proofread the assigned articles before second reviewing and finalization
• Responsible for engaging more people from the respective chapter to write for AMSA International’s Newsletter.
• Increase publicity of AMSA International’s Newsletter in respective chapter.
• To give substantial feedback on the content and design of the eNewsletter.

2. Layout Designer

Job Description:
- Create the layout and other illustrations to make AMSA International’s Newsletter more appealing to our audience.

Required Documents:
1. Curriculum Vitae (name the file as: EditorialBoard_CV_Position_Fullname)
2. Motivation Letter (300-400 words) (name the file as: EditorialBoard_MotLet_Position_Fullname)
3. Photo (most recent) (name the file as: EditorialBoard_Photo_Position_Fullname)
4. Recommendation Letter from the Representative of each AMSA-university (name the file as: EditorialBoard_RecLet_Position_Fullname)
5. For those applying as the Layout Designer, you are required to send your portfolio (including your publication/artworks, for instance, posters, logos, photographs, drawings, etc.). The portfolio can be attached or provided in a link if the size is too big.
6. All documents should be compiled in the format of .zip and named EditorialBoard_Country_Position_Fullname

For members who are highly passionate about journalism, mass communication, and writing, this might be the perfect fit for you to showcase your talent!

Dear members,

We would like to inform all the members/alumni about our upcoming event, AMSA Big Family Day 2020. This event, held in collaboration with Asian Medical Students’ Association Alumni Club (AMSAAC), is a series of events by Asian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) with a heartfelt theme “Live, Laugh and Love”.

The event aims to bring the members - medical students and alumni - medical professionals, together amidst the global pandemic Covid-19; to foster bonding and interactions. The virtual event spans over three Saturdays of August - 8th, 15th and 22nd of August, 2020. Having said that, the registrations are separated for the three days and will be held separately. The event comprises interesting webinars, sharing sessions, social lounges, as well as a Hackathon that is open to all members and alumni of AMSA. A perfect line-up of alumni of different professions is all set to meet the event's objectives. Moreover, we will be having our very first AMSA Hackathon on the 22nd of August, 2020.

This event is also an initiative by AMSAAC, to mend the physical gap caused by the pandemic and lockdowns, as a substitute to the supposed Asian Medical Students’ Conference (AMSC) 2020.
