Sometimes the hardest part of trying something new is simply walking through the door.

For Mental Health Awareness Week, I wanted to make that first step feel a little more supported.

If you book one of this weekend’s group breathwork sessions—Friday, Saturday or Sunday—you’re welcome to bring a friend with you for free.

You don’t need to arrive feeling calm or clear. You don’t need to know what the session might bring. You can simply come as you are, with someone familiar beside you.

If this feels like the right moment, send me a message and I’ll help you find the session that suits you both.

Breathwork can be a supportive wellbeing practice, but it isn’t a replacement for professional mental-health care.

Some days, you've just got to keep breathing. 🤍

Amelia is teething, and after two rough days/nights of sleep, we're both feeling it.

She's tired, uncomfortable, and wants to be held almost constantly. And if I'm not holding her, there are tears. Lots of tears.

Today, she woke from her nap and moments later was crying. I made her lunch, which promptly ended up everywhere, followed by more tears because she wanted out of her highchair.

And this is the moment after.

Not a perfectly peaceful moment. Not some beautiful, calm breathwork practice. Interestingly, in this moment she didn't cry.

Just a mum who's feeling overstimulated, taking a moment to breathe.

Because even as a breathwork facilitator, I still have these moments. I still get overwhelmed. I still feel my patience wearing thin.

The difference is that now I have a tool to come back to.

I can't take away her teething pain or make today easier for her. But I can choose how I meet the next moment.

And right now, that starts with one breath.

Then another. 🤍

Sometimes breathwork isn't about a big emotional release or a profound experience. Sometimes it's simply about getting through a hard moment with a little more softness.

Some Mondays, my mind is already halfway through the week before the morning has properly begun.

The practical jobs. The people I want to show up for. The work that matters to me. The things I would honestly rather be doing.

Usually, I notice it in my breath first—shorter, higher or quietly held.

It isn’t a sign that I’ve started the week badly. It’s information.

A pause won’t make the list disappear, but it can help me notice what genuinely needs my attention now—and what doesn’t belong to this moment yet.

If today already feels full, perhaps you don’t need a better plan. Perhaps you need one honest next step.

What is the next step that actually matters today?

Rest can be surprisingly difficult when your mind is still moving through everything that needs to be done.

And rest doesn’t always have to mean becoming completely still.

Sometimes it is finishing the one small thing that has been circling your thoughts. Sometimes it is stepping outside, changing rooms, moving gently, or allowing one breath to leave without hurrying the next one in.

The invitation isn’t to rest correctly.

It is simply to notice what helps you feel a little less braced.

What kind of rest would meet you where you are today?

Save this for a day when rest feels harder than it sounds.

Sometimes the answer isn’t a clear yes or no.

It might be a softening across your chest. A fuller breath. A little more space.

Or it might be a tightening through your shoulders, a held breath, or the feeling that you’re moving away from yourself.

These signals don’t need to be judged, and they don’t always mean “stop”. But they can be worth listening to—especially if you’ve become used to answering quickly for everyone else.

Before you respond today, give yourself one unhurried breath.

Notice what your body is already telling you.

What changes when you allow your body to be part of the decision?

Preparation matters to me—not because I’m trying to choreograph someone’s experience.

I’m creating a steady starting point: the mats laid out, blankets nearby, lighting softened and music ready.

Then people arrive, and the session becomes theirs.

Each person meets their breath differently. My role is to guide the room, offer options and make enough space for people to notice what is true for them.

This was the room before Saturday’s Breath Reset.

If you’ve been wondering what a group breathwork space with me feels like, you can learn more through the link in my bio.

On Saturday afternoon, I welcomed two people to The Breath Reset for the first time.

One had experienced breathwork before. For the other, it was completely new.

Meeting a new facilitator—or trying breathwork for the first time—can bring plenty of quiet questions.

Am I doing it correctly?
What if I can’t relax?
What if nothing happens?

But breathwork isn’t something you need to perform.

You don’t have to arrive calm or clear. You don’t need to know what you want to release. You can arrive exactly as you are.

My role is to explain what to expect, hold a steady space and support each person to follow their own experience—without needing to chase a particular outcome.

Sometimes the first shift is simply choosing to come.

Sometimes even breathwork can become one more thing to get right.

A longer exhale can feel settling—but only when it remains comfortable.

If you notice yourself gripping, pushing, or waiting for the count to end, shorten it.

Try breathing softly in for 3 and easily out for 4, for three gentle rounds. Then let go of the numbers and notice: is there a little more room in your shoulders, jaw or belly?

This isn’t about performing calm. It’s an invitation to meet your body where it is.

Save this for a day that feels full—or share it with someone who might appreciate a gentler pause.

You don’t need to arrive already knowing whether you need tarot, breathwork or something more ongoing.

Sometimes all you know is:
I need clarity.
I’m carrying too much.
I need space to hear myself again.

Tarot can offer a different perspective and help you reconnect with what you already sense beneath the noise.

Breathwork creates space to meet what is held in the body—even when you don’t have the words for it yet.

1:1 Guidance brings conversation, tarot, breathwork and body wisdom together in a journey shaped around you.

There isn’t one right place to begin. Notice which words feel closest to what you need now: clarity, release or ongoing support.

You can gently explore each path through the link in my bio.

Sometimes the boundary arrives in the body before it reaches your words.

It might feel like tension before a conversation, relief when plans change, or exhaustion from continuing to explain something that already feels clear inside you.

These feelings don’t always mean you need to act immediately. They’re information—something to notice before automatically overriding yourself.

The body isn’t always giving us a command, but it can be an important part of the conversation.
What signal have you become better at listening to?

You might like to save this for the next time you hear yourself saying yes while something inside you quietly asks for space.
