My amazing niece Emmerson Garrett competed this year for the New Zealand Womens Open Touch team in the World Cup held in England! Ever since she was little she has wanted to represent her country and wow she did herself and the family proud! The women played their hearts out and came away with silver medals 🥈 She was able to have two sponsers on her gear, @caci_nz were on her game vests 🥰(i should say singlets 🤦🏼‍♀️😂) and I was able to have my business logo on her training shirt 🥰 When you dream big and put the work in they can come true! Will need to work out those suprise impacts when she returns to NZ 🥰- handy having an Auntie that does ConTact C.A.R.E! @emigarrett @touchblackswomens @touchblacks @touchnewzealand

Why have ConTact C.A.R.E and what is it? This video is a simple way I have explained to clients about ConTact C.A.R.E and the flinchlock release method. Anyone can have ConTact C.A.R.E as it is simple and safe as we always work away from pain, you are in control of your comfort at all times and is your responsibility to tell the Practitioner if anywhere hurts during the session- always moving to your comfort! No point sucking up pain as it wont help you recover to your normal! Some of the reasons people have tried ConTact C.A.R.E with me in the last few weeks *bad back *fell over *shin splints *range of movement decreased *post concussion symptoms *sore knees *dizzy, nausea *headaches *keep hitting the same place on the body *feel out of line *slept funny Yes when you fall over the saw place will be where you landed eg: the hip felt place in the video; yes that will hurt from the impact too but the reason it is now playing up and not going away will be from the flinchlocked imobile bone that needs to be released. My simplified explanation without the fluff that I give to my clients about what happens in a Reiki session and why have one. People come for many different reasons and I don’t have to be told those reasons for the Reiki to do the work. We don’t always realise some things have stuck to us through life and might be weighing us down a bit; a Reiki session can help release anything not allowing you to feel your best so then you can go about your day a bit lighter! Loving my family time now that I work from home and have that work life balance. I loved being a teacher and gave it nearly 20 years but it was time to do ConTact C.A.R.E and Reiki full time! Went and tried a new modality last night and was advised to have a salt bath as part of the protocol afterwards. Not a fan of baths so went this morning for natures salt bath instead! Not one for the cold! Normally a scorcher day swimmer but that was beautiful! I got straight in and it was warm! Loved my morning dip! What a magical day! I know it isn’t directly ConTact C.A.R.E or Reiki related but it is amazing to witness things when people are at the top or their game and really care about the details and all the little things! I’m not a die hard LOTR or Hobbit fan but the tour was magical! Since Dec 2023 there are now two Hobbit holes/ houses that you can go in. You get to go in one of them! It was my highlight! Started the day with a self reiki in bed 🙏🏼✨ got my sons ready for school and then headed to the beach to do a 15min sketch; not a great one but not something I would normally draw, it was more about enjoying the moment to see what I could do and focus on for those 15mins rather than scrolling on my phone. Then treated myself to a beautiful massage 💆🏼‍♀️ With the voucher I was given for my birthday and it was gorgeous as always! When you have left the security of a full time profession and you have two clients contact you in the morning to reschedule their appointments to another day there are different ways you can choose to react! Yep I admit I panicked first; have been known to be an overthinker! then I took the opportunity of the alone time to get out for a walk and see it as a blessing. Told myself things will be all good! They weren’t cancellations just things happen, stuff comes up; then a new client booked in whilst I was walking. Everything falls into place, allow the good, allow change and take some time outdoors! I ended up walking alongside a veteran for half of my walk, we chatted about lots and I shared my passion of ConTact CARE he was genuinely interested and I believe we brightened eachothers morning 🥰 How do you calm yourself?
