Today was a really meaningful day for our community and for the future of our young people. We joined B416 at Parliament for the official handover of their petition now backed by an incredible 46,000 signatures calling for stronger protections for rangatahi online.

A huge thank you to Anita, Nikita, and Ali for coming along and showing your support, as you always do. And to everyone else who has supported Wellness Within on this journey you know who you are, I am so grateful.

Change truly becomes possible when we act together, and today was a powerful reminder of that ❤️

Over the month of October, I was lucky enough to deliver my Resilience and Growing Up Digital workshops to 120 amazing tamariki at Corinna School. They were such an awesome group to work with!

It’s always so encouraging when the students themselves recognise that change is needed around the world of social media and how it impacts young people. It’s a great reminder that we’re working with them, not against them and that they want to be part of the solution.

A massive thank you to the Porirua City Council, this was the final workshop series funded through the Young People’s Grant we were awarded by them. I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to reach more young people in our community, especially when funding can be a barrier for schools and organisations.

Feeling incredibly grateful to be chosen as one of the speakers for Smart Phone Free Childhood NZ.

It’s an honour to be part of such an important movement supporting the wellbeing of our young people and encouraging healthier relationships with technology.
