Let’s Act Now to Stop the Rise in Dengue Cases

The Province of Abra is experiencing an increase in dengue cases. Dengue is preventable, and every Abreño has a role to play in stopping its spread.

The Provincial Government of Abra, through the Provincial Health Office, calls on all local government units, barangays, schools, government and private offices, healthcare facilities, civic organizations, and communities to strengthen dengue prevention efforts.

Practice the 4Ts of Dengue Prevention:

* TAOB – Empty and scrub water-holding containers regularly.
* TAKTAK – Remove or dispose of items that collect stagnant water.
* TUYO – Keep surroundings clean and dry.
* TAKIP – Cover all water storage containers securely.

Help Prevent Dengue

* Conduct regular clean-up drives and eliminate mosquito breeding sites.
* Wear protective clothing and use mosquito repellents.
* Install window screens or use mosquito nets when needed.
* Seek immediate medical consultation if fever persists for two days or more. Early consultation saves lives.

Dengue prevention is a shared responsibility. Every clean environment and every breeding site eliminated helps protect our families and communities.

Together, let us stop dengue before it spreads.

Protect Every Family. Prevent Every Case.

Señor Santiago Visits Abra Provincial Hospital!

His Excellency, Most Rev. LEOPOLDO C. JAUCIAN, SVD, D.D., together with the devoted parishioners and faithful of Abra, graced Abra Provincial Hospital with a visit today as part of the Novena preparations for the Feast of Señor Santiago on July 25!

The venerated image of Señor Santiago was brought to our hospital, where employees, student-nurses, devotees, and families of our patients gathered together in prayer and celebration of the Holy Mass.

United in one faith, we lifted our prayers for healing, hope, and renewed strength — for our patients, their families, and all who serve in this institution.

"Sa pangalan ni Señor Santiago — sama-sama tayong nagmamahal, nagmamalasakit, at nagdarasal."

May the intercession of Señor Santiago bring comfort to the sick and blessing upon all. Viva Señor Santiago!
