SEPTEMBER 11–12, 2026 | SUNDOWN

To promote community wellness across Sorsogon, the Sustained Health Initiative of the Philippines hosted a free HIV screening and protected commodities distribution drive at Rompeolas Pier, Sorsogon City, and the Buenavista Gubat Tourism Hub. This event aimed to increase access to testing, encourage responsible health habits, and break down the stigma and discrimination surrounding HIV care.

𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿'𝘀 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵

Full forces during the Albay Governor's Cup 2026 Ligao vs. Daraga Finals Game together with Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc., Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines - SHIP and Champion Community Centers in collaboration with The Albay Provincial Health Office through the HIV/STI/AIDS Prevention and Control Program.

This initiative aimed to promote HIV awareness, encourage regular testing, and support early detection and prevention within our community. The activity provided free, confidential, and voluntary HIV testing, along with information and counseling on HIV prevention, treatment, and available health services.

🌈 POST-PRIDE MONTH 2026: : THE BEAUTY GAY OF SORSOGON🌈

The Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines (SHIP), in partnership with the Provincial Health Office and the City Health Office – Social Hygiene Clinic, successfully conducted Free HIV Screening and Distribution of HIV Prevention Commodities during the POST-PRIDE MONTH 2026: – The Beauty Gay of Sorsogon, held at the Provincial Gymnasium, Sorsogon City.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the collective efforts of the Provincial Government of Sorsogon, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), and Provincial Gender and Development (GAD).

Beyond the celebration of diversity, beauty, and pride, the event served as an avenue to promote HIV awareness, prevention, early detection, and access to essential health services for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Together, we continue to create a community where everyone is informed, protected, respected, and empowered.

✨ Because Pride doesn’t end after June—our commitment to health, equality, and inclusion continues all year round.

BRINGING HEALTH & HOPE CLOSER TO SORSOGANONS! 🩺❤️

The Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines (SHIP), in strong collaboration with the Sorsogon City Health Office, Sorsogon City Social Hygiene Clinic, and PNP Nurse Mrs. Roda Dela Cruz, successfully conducted free HIV screening and commodity distribution today during the "People’s Caravan: Serbisyong Dala ay Pag-asa" at the Capitol Gymnasium, Sorsogon City.

Initiated by the National Housing Authority (NHA), the People’s Caravan brought vital government programs and frontline health services directly to the heart of the community.

Health is a community effort! A huge thank you to the National Housing Authority (NHA) for leading the caravan, and to all the dedicated healthcare workers, local officials, and partners who made this community outreach possible.
Together, we are building a safer, healthier, and better-informed Sorsogon!

PEER EDUCATOR AND COMMUNITY BASED SCREENING TRAINING

The first day of the CBS training was packed with learning, emphathy,and action on understanding S*xual Orientation Gender Identity, Expression and S*x Characteristics to ensure health services, respect and safe for everyone. Also equipping our advocates with tools and knowledge to offer accessible testing and seamless care linkages.. Furthermore, An immersive experience exercise design to build deep emphathy around the emotional journey, fear and realities individuals face when navigating HIV testing

Building inclusive healthcare starts with understanding and empathy. A huge thank you to DOH, PHO SORSOGON, SHIP, GENTLEMEN BICOL, PYDO, PARTICIPANTS and STAFF who are taking these vital tools to our communities
