"𝗞𝗮𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗼 𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝗼𝘀" is perhaps one of the most personal songs I have ever written.

I wrote this song around year 2011–2012, during one of the most uncertain seasons of my life.

After becoming a physician in 2008, I worked as a moonlighting physician before entering a Psychiatry Residency Training Program. I was hopeful that I had finally found my path, but as time went by, I realized that residency was not where God wanted me to be. Leaving that training was one of the most difficult decisions I had to make because my future suddenly became uncertain.

At that time, I was still single, and life brought even greater challenges. My father suffered a stroke that left him partially paralyzed. My sister was jobless, and I became the family's primary breadwinner. I carried the responsibility of paying for my father's medicines, helping with household expenses, paying debts, and supporting my loved ones while trying to find stability in my own career.

There were moments when I questioned what the future would hold. Yet in every season of uncertainty, God faithfully provided. He never abandoned us. He opened doors through different work opportunities until, in His perfect time, He led me to the job I continue to hold today as Municipal Health Officer.

Then came December 2012, when Super Typhoon Pablo (Bopha) devastated many communities in Davao Oriental. I had been serving as Municipal Health Officer for only about six months. The destruction was overwhelming. Like many others, I experienced the trauma of living through one of the strongest disasters our province had ever faced. It was a time of fear, exhaustion, and enormous responsibility as we cared for people affected by the calamity.

But through every hardship, one truth remained constant:

God was with me.

He never left me.
He never abandoned me.
He carried me through every uncertainty, every burden, every storm, and every difficult decision.Dalaygon ang Diyos!

That is why I wrote:

"Kauban ko ang Dios,
Di ako mahadlok o mabalaka.
Dili Niya ako talikdan, dili Niya ako pasagdan..."

Those words were not merely lyrics—they became my testimony.

Looking back now, I realize that God's presence was far greater than my fears. He sustained my family, guided my career, strengthened me through personal struggles, and gave me the courage to continue serving others even during times of disaster.

This is one of the original songs I have written over the past 20+ years, inspired by my personal journey of faith. The lyrics and melody are my own original composition, while I used AI technology to help bring the music production to life so these songs could finally be shared with everyone.

If you are walking through a season of uncertainty, financial struggles, family burdens, or life's storms, I pray this song reminds you of the same truth that carried me through mine—and the same truth I pray over the people in difficult situation:

You are never alone. God is with you.

"Kauban ko ang Dios... dili Niya ako talikdan, dili Niya ako pasagdan." ❤️

Every song has a story, and "𝗠𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱" is one that reminds me of the beauty of friendship, faith, and collaboration.

I was 18 years old, a second-year Medical Technology student in Davao City. One afternoon after class, two of my classmates—Julius Caesar Tan and Dr. Lobert Padua came over to my boarding house. Lobert brought along his nylon-string guitar, and after spending some time jamming, we challenged ourselves to write an original song.

Both of them were men of faith. Julius, a deep thinker with a poetic soul, loved listening to Jesuit music. We all shared one desire to write a song about Jesus as our greatest Friend.

Julius began writing the first verse. Together, we composed the melody and spent the afternoon shaping the song. By the end of the day, we had a beautiful beginning but the song was still unfinished.

A few days later, I tried to continue writing the song on my own, but I hit a wall. The words simply wouldn't come. I then thought of a churchmate and fellow member of our worship team who had an exceptional gift for speaking and writing in English. At the time, she was a Chemical Engineering scholar at Ateneo, and I knew she could help bring the song to completion.

I'm deeply grateful to Engr. Mylen R. Carsano, who graciously wrote the second verse. Her contribution gave the song new life and direction. Inspired once again, I completed the bridge after several days—and many months of revising, refining, and praying over every line.

Looking back after more than two decades, "My Friend" has become more than just an original song. It is a testimony that God works through friendships and collaboration. Each of us contributed our own gifts—lyrics, music, ideas, and faith—to create something that points people to the greatest Friend any of us could ever have: 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁.

This is one of the original songs I have written over the past 20+ years, inspired by my personal walk with God and life's experiences. The lyrics and melody are original, while I used AI technology to help with the music production so these songs could finally be shared with everyone.

To my co-writers and collaborators—thank you for being part of this journey. This song will always remind me that God brings people together, each with unique gifts, to create something that glorifies Him.

Every song has a story, and this is the story behind my original song, "𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲."

I was only 17 years old, a first-year college student in Davao City, in 1999. Coming from the province, adjusting to city life wasn't easy. Aside from focusing on my studies, I had to learn to live independently—cleaning my boarding house room, doing my own laundry, cooking my meals, and managing everything on my own. It was a season that taught me responsibility and gratitude.

One weekend afternoon, while watching a showbiz talk show on a small black-and-white television in the living room, I saw a tribute to the late Filipina actress Mary Walter, who lived a long life before passing away in her 8th decade.

In the interview they replayed, she was asked the secret to her long life. Her answer was simple yet profound:

"Every time I wake up in the morning, I pray to the Lord, 'Thank You, Lord, for another day of my life."

Those words stayed with me. They touched my heart so deeply that I immediately felt inspired to write a song. That moment became the seed of "Another Day of My Life."

More than two decades later, I'm grateful that I can finally share this song with all of you. It is one of the original songs I have written over the past 20+ years, inspired by my personal journey of faith and life's experiences.

My prayer is that whenever you listen to this song, you'll be reminded that every sunrise, every sunset, and every breath is a precious gift from God. No matter what season you're in, each new day is another opportunity to experience His goodness and love.
