🌋 HEALTH ADVISORY | ASHFALL FROM MT. KANLAON

The CTU Main Medical Clinic advises all students, faculty, staff, and visitors to take the necessary precautions following the recent ashfall from Mt. Kanlaon.

Volcanic ash may cause eye irritation, coughing, sore throat, and breathing difficulties, particularly among individuals with asthma, allergies, and other respiratory conditions.

To help protect yourself:
😷 Wear a face mask when going outdoors.
🏠 Stay indoors as much as possible and keep doors and windows closed.
👓 Protect your eyes when exposed to ash.
💧 Stay hydrated and maintain good personal hygiene.

If you experience persistent respiratory symptoms or other health concerns, please visit the CTU Main Medical Clinic for appropriate assessment and medical assistance.

This change is in compliance with the Department of Health memorandum advising that bloodletting/mobile blood donation activities should be conducted in the morning only, especially due to the risks associated with extreme heat in the afternoon.
