A major victory for our team and an even bigger milestone for one of our inspiring patients!

Back in July, Mr. O underwent bilateral total knee replacement (TKA) surgery. Just a week later, his family reached out to us to set up an evaluation with our rehab physician, Dr. Napa. After a comprehensive assessment, Dr. Napa designed a targeted, personalized rehabilitation plan tailored specifically to Mr. O’s needs.
From there, the real work began.
Over the course of 22 intensive sessions and 3 clinical follow-ups, Mr. O faced the tough reality of post-op recovery. There were grimaces from the pain, heavy gasps for air during challenging exercises, and plenty of gloomy weather disturbances along the way. But through it all, he pushed forward with unwavering determination.
Mr. O officially wrapped up his final session and is fully cleared and confident to head back to his home town.
Recovery has no shortcuts, no quick fixes, and no easy days. It takes true teamwork—a dedicated patient, a supportive family, and an aligned clinical team working as one.
No script. No drama. No director. Just raw hard work, grit, and incredible results.
Congratulations, Mr. O! Your MetroPhysio family is so proud of you. 👏💕
At MetroPhysio, we often tell our patients: "The ending is only the beginning."

🧠 AGING CHANGES US.
BUT MOVEMENT STILL MATTERS.

As we grow older, changes in strength, balance, walking, coordination, and memory can make everyday activities more challenging.

For older adults living with dementia, staying physically active is especially important.

Physical therapy does not cure dementia, but it can help address physical problems that affect safety and independence.

🧑‍⚕️ HOW CAN PHYSICAL THERAPY HELP?

💪 Build and maintain strength
Helps older adults stay strong enough for everyday movements.

🚶 Improve walking and mobility
Helps patients move more safely around the home and community.

⚖️ Improve balance and reduce fall risk
Balance training can help make everyday movement safer.

🪑 Make daily activities easier
Practicing sitting, standing, transferring, and walking can help maintain functional independence.

❤️ Keep the body active
Appropriate exercise can help maintain endurance and reduce the effects of inactivity.

🧠 Support people living with dementia
Simple, familiar and appropriately supervised movements can help maintain physical function and participation in daily activities.

👨‍👩‍👧 Guide families and caregivers
Physical therapists can teach caregivers safer ways to assist with walking, transfers, and exercise.

❤️ BECAUSE REHABILITATION IS NOT JUST ABOUT THE BODY.

It is about helping an older adult move, participate, connect, and remain as independent as possible.

Aging is a natural part of life.
Physical decline does not have to mean giving up movement.

At MetroPhysio PT Clinic, we help make rehabilitation simple, safe, and meaningful—at every stage of life.

Recovery is not instant. Recovery made simple.

An ACL injury is a tear or sprain of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) — one of the strong bands of tissue that help connect your thigh bone (femur) to your shinbone (tibia). ACL injuries most commonly occur during sports that involve sudden stops or changes in direction, jumping and landing — such as soccer, basketball, football and downhill skiing.
Many people hear a pop or feel a "popping" sensation in the knee when an ACL injury occurs. Your knee may swell, feel unstable and become too painful to bear weight.

Signs and symptoms of an ACL injury usually include:
* A loud pop or a "popping" sensation in the knee
* Severe pain and inability to continue activity
* Rapid swelling
* Loss of range of motion
* A feeling of instability or "giving way" with weight bearing

At METROPHYSIO PT CLINIC, rehabilitation goes beyond pain relief. Our evidence-based treatment program is designed to help you recover safely and confidently.

09/07/2026

Frozen shoulder, also known as Adhesive Capsulitis, is a condition where the shoulder joint becomes painful and stiff due to inflammation and thickening of the joint capsule. It gradually limits movement, making everyday activities difficult.

Common Symptoms :
* Persistent shoulder pain, especially at night
* Gradually worsening stiffness
* Difficulty reaching overhead
* Trouble reaching behind the back (e.g., fastening a bra or tucking in a shirt)
* Difficulty dressing, combing hair, or lifting objects
* Limited active and passive shoulder movement

Frozen shoulder may occur :
1. After a shoulder injury or surgery
2. Following prolonged shoulder immobilization
3. Without an obvious cause (idiopathic)

People at higher risk include:
1. Adults aged 40–60 years
Women
2. Individuals with Diabetes Mellitus
3. Those with Thyroid Disease
4. People recovering from stroke or prolonged illness

Symptoms:
Frozen shoulder typically develops slowly in three stages.

1. Freezing stage. Any movement of the shoulder causes pain, and your ability to move the shoulder becomes limited. This stage typically lasts 2 to 9 months.

2. Frozen stage. Pain may lessen during this stage. However, the shoulder becomes stiffer. Using it becomes harder. This stage lasts 4 to 12 months.

3. Thawing stage. Your ability to move the shoulder begins to improve. This stage typically lasts 5 to 24 months.

***For some people, the pain worsens at night, sometimes disrupting sleep.

🦴 Frozen Shoulder? Don't Let Stiffness Hold You Back!

Shoulder pain that won't go away? Struggling to reach overhead, wear your clothes comfortably, or sleep without pain?

It could be Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis).

The good news? With proper Physical Therapy, you can reduce pain, restore movement, and get back to doing the things you love.

✨ Early treatment leads to better outcomes.
✨ Personalized rehabilitation.
✨ Guided exercises for lasting recovery.

Recovery isn't instant—but with the right treatment, every session brings you one step closer to moving freely again.
