The greatest mystery in all of history is this: That the eternal God stepped into time, The Creator entered His creation and The One who formed the stars was carried in the womb of a woman.
Jesus Christ was not half God and half man. He was not a man who became God. He was not merely a prophet, teacher, or miracle worker.
He was fully God and fully man. The Bible declares: “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father…” in John 1:14
The One who existed before the foundations of the world took upon Himself human flesh. The hands that shaped galaxies became the hands that reached out to touch lepers. The voice that commanded oceans to be still became the voice that cried as a baby in Bethlehem. The One who sustains all things by the word of His power became the One who hungered, thirsted, wept, and suffered.
This is the wonder of the incarnation.
The invisible God became visible... The untouchable God became touchable... The immortal God tasted death.
Jesus knew what it was like to feel exhaustion after a long journey. He knew the pain of rejection, the sorrow of losing a loved one when He wept at Lazarus’ tomb. He knew the agony of betrayal when Judas kissed Him and He knew the weight of suffering when He prayed in Gethsemane: “Not my will, but yours, be done.” in Luke 22:42
Yet, in His humanity, He never ceased to be divine. When He forgave sins, He revealed His deity. When He calmed the storm, creation obeyed its Creator. When He rose from the grave, death surrendered before the King of kings.
The same Jesus who cried, “I thirst,” also declared, “Before Abraham was, I AM.” (in John 8:58) The same Jesus who was laid in a manger is the One whom angels worship. The same Jesus who walked the dusty roads of Galilee is the One seated on the throne of heaven.
The mystery of Christ is not something to simply analyze; it is something that should bring us to our knees. Because the God who was too holy for sinners to approach came near to sinners.
The Judge became the sacrifice, The King wore a crown of thorns, The Lord of glory allowed Himself to be nailed to a cross. Why? Because love demanded a way.
He became what we are, so that through Him we might receive what He has. “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor…” in 2 Corinthians 8:9
The manger was not the beginning of Jesus, the cross was not His defeat, the resurrection was not His promotion. He has always been the eternal Son.
He came from glory, walked among us, died for us, rose again, and will return as the King who reigns forever.
Behold Jesus Christ: fully God, fully man, perfectly holy, completely loving, forever worthy.
The greatest miracle is not that God can do anything.
The greatest miracle is that the God who needed nothing chose to become nothing for us, so that we who had nothing could have everything in Him.
..Let us worship Him, Love Him, Treasure Him ❤️🔥
