*Roentgen’s Law:* The length of a radiologist’s report is inversely proportional to the certainty of his diagnosis.
*Machiavelli’s Law:* A patient/relative who says in his first visit that he has full faith in you has already consulted at least three other doctors for his problem.
*Cochrane’s Aphorism:* Before ordering a test, decide what you will do if it is
a) Positive
or
b) Negative.
If answers for both are the same, don’t do the test.
*Indoor Anachronism:* Patients who need to be admitted the most always refuse to get admitted. Those who can be sent home want to stay on.
*Saddam’s Law in Medicine:* The arrogance of a patient’s relative is inversely proportional to his ability and willingness to pay the hospital bill.
*Murphy’s Law:* If anything can go wrong, it will.
*Gattuso’s Extension of Murphy’s Law:* Nothing is ever so bad that it can’t get worse.
*Adam’s Law:* Fractures used to heal even when there were no orthopaedic surgeons.
*Placebo Rules:* Placebos work only if they are expensive.
Placebos sometimes work better than real drugs.
A sympathetic physician is often the best placebo!

It's almost 1 am midnight, all of you must be sleeping. I am working. We doctors, nurses, healthcare providers are working. Now you might say you all are paid for this.
No sir, there is no money greater than health, sleep and time spent with your family. Would you go to work at 4 am for money? Would you clean someone unknown person's vomit urine or stool? Of course not! We do because we want to heal. No money can pay for that.
Nobody sees what a doctor losses in his whole life from his youth, family-life, children to getting multiple comorbidities. They risk for you and in return what they get is all you know.

Brief lesson from history
When hajaj was the governer of iraq, raja dahirs soldiers captured one muslim girl and took her with them. apart from being corrupt, hajaj ordered his troops to command 1 after the another towards raja dahirs army, causing tremendous loss to the army and the economy just bcz of the painful cry of 1 muslim girl.
And today the investing officer of the motorway r**e case is condemning the r**ed victim only instead of catching the bloody ra**sts. I think this police officer should be hanged first and then the ra**st.

How do you 'judge' a surgeon?
Well OT staff and sister judge a surgeon by their speed of doing surgery. They will keep saying to junior surgeons that particular surgeon is 'great' because he wraps up the procedure quickly. So faster is better for them.
Anaesthetists also usually make this kind of judgement specially younger ones.
But senior Anaesthetists usually judge a surgeon by his ability to do a complicated case safely.
Hospital owners and management judge a surgeon not by skills but by his ability to get the required number of patients and to put in more hours at the hospital. So surgeons having more cases is better for them.
Pateints judge a surgeon by the post operative complications they get. So lesser the complications better the surgeon for them. So even those surgeons can be great who have a knack of operating only 'safe' cases which dont give complications.
But surgeons judge a surgeon by the ability of a surgeon to deal with his complications. There will be complications ,certainly, if you operate tougher cases. If you cant deal with your own complication then you wont get the respect of your fellow surgeon.
PS - Surgeons have to deal with so many 'judgements' that they start modifying thier surgery according to it. Better dont give a damn about other people's judgement and just and just keep doing it till the end of your time.
Courtesy-Some surgeon somewhere.

Dr. Khan Siddiqui, A Pakistani scientist has created the world’s first portable Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner which will benefit health care units worldwide.
Certainly, even after the revolution MRI scanners brought to the medical industry, it still isn’t easy to operate without expert guidance. Moreover, the existing MRI technology demands a separate room to install the massive components of the machine.
Dr. Khan SIddiqui speaks about his invention!
In order to make the experience more convenient, the new equipment’s wheel array will play an important role in its movement. Without worrying about the scanner’s 635 kilograms, the specialist can easily move it from one room to another. Further, the portable MRI scanner can be operated through a phone or a tablet and the images can also be saved in the storage.
