What resources do we have in Pakistan to explore psychiatry as a field? Almost none!
With this field rapidly progressing around the globe, most of our medical students don’t know much about psychiatry as a field and what future lies in its vast areas of research and clinical domains.

For this and more, we have made this medical student interest group to fill the gap between what we see in psychiatry in Pakistan from the one that exists worldwide.

𝗞𝗲𝗺𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵 is a research and learning community being run by medical students at King Edward Medical University. We aim to engage medical students from our university specifically and other students generally to explore psychiatry as a field of medical sciences.
The main aim is to help medical students interested in psychiatry to learn more about this specialty other than the very limited coursework and gain valuable experience for their careers. Moreover, we want to inspire medical students to join this field of medicine by sharing with them live talks of world-renowned psychiatric, neuroscientific, and psychological researchers.

With a lot of work in progress, this community will initiate its blog, video series, refresher courses, and mental health research network to connect medical students with prospective psychiatric researchers.

Stay tuned to explore more about our theme of this month and prospective speakers!
