𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐊𝐌𝐂 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐧

The 3rd International Medical Research Conference (IMRC) 2026 was successfully held at Bacha Khan Medical College (BKMC), Mardan, under the theme “Translating Knowledge into Practice: Advancing Undergraduate Medical Research.”
The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Chairman Board of Governors (BoG), Prof. Dr. Arshad Javaid. The event brought together medical students, faculty members, researchers, and academic leaders from different medical institutions, providing a platform for sharing research, scientific ideas, and academic experiences.
The inaugural session was attended by Dean/CEO BKMC Prof. Dr. Jawad Ahmad, Associate Dean Prof. Dr. Muhtasim Billah, Associate Dean Research Dr. Iftikhar Ud Din, Dean BKDC Prof. Dr. Ahmad Khan, Prof. Dr. Imad Hameed, Prof. Dr. Fasih Uz Zaman, Dr. Salman Malik, Dr. Fazal Rabbi along with other senior faculty members and officials.
The conference was also attended by distinguished academic participants, including Chairperson Research Department of Nowshera Medical College Dr. Farah Deeba, Principal/Chief Executive of Timergara Medical College Prof Dr. Abrar Lakhkar Khan and Director KMU IHS Mardan Prof Dr. Syed Hamid Habib. Their participation added academic value to the conference and provided an opportunity for interaction and exchange of research ideas among medical institutions.
A large number of students from BKMC and other medical colleges participated in the conference and presented their research work. The conference included research presentations and academic activities aimed at promoting a culture of research among undergraduate medical students and encouraging the practical application of scientific knowledge in healthcare.
On the occasion, Dean/CEO BKMC, Prof. Dr. Jawad Ahmad, in his remarks, appreciated the efforts of the organizers and congratulated the organizing committee, faculty members, students, and staff of BKMC for arranging a successful and well-organized conference. He highlighted the importance of research in medical education and encouraged students to actively engage in research and academic activities.
At the conclusion of the conference, Prof. Dr. Jawad Ahmad distributed shields and certificates among the organizers, participants, and students in recognition of their contributions and participation in the conference.
The conference concluded with appreciation for all the organizers, faculty members, students, staff, researchers, and participating medical colleges whose efforts contributed to the successful conduct of the 3rd International Medical Research Conference 2026 at BKMC Mardan.
