Bakhtawar Amin Trust Teaching Hospital hosted an insightful academic session on the “Role of Thoracic Surgery,” providing an engaging platform for clinical learning, expert discussion, and knowledge exchange.

The session was led by Prof. Dr. Javed Mirdad Tarar, HOD Thoracic Surgery & Medical Director, who shared valuable insights into the clinical significance, evolving approaches, and multidisciplinary role of thoracic surgery in modern healthcare.

The session brought together faculty members, PGRs, and House Officers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.

A Challenging Case. Expert Surgical Care. A Successful Outcome.

A patient from Mian Channu presented to Bakhtawar Amin Trust Teaching Hospital with a previously diagnosed large uterine fibroid (بچہ دانی کی رسولی).

Due to the significant size and complexity of the fibroid, she had previously been advised against surgery elsewhere. Seeking further treatment, she came to our hospital for expert evaluation and care.

After a thorough assessment, the case was managed under the expert supervision of:

With careful surgical planning and expertise, the fibroid was successfully removed and the patient’s uterus was successfully preserved.
