Midland Doctors successfully hosted a hands-on laparoscopic surgery training session today for MBBS students and postgraduate trainees of AJKMC and AIMS Muzaffarabad.
Organized by the college and held at the Midland Doctors Medical Institute Advanced Education Center, the session gave participants practical training on the center's laparoscopic machines in a fully equipped learning environment.

Senior surgeons and the Executive Director of AIMS Muzaffarabad joined as trainers alongside the Midland Doctors surgical team. The session was led by Dr. Ziyad Afzal Kiani of AIMS, with Dr. Farzana also training participants. Dr. Zeeshan Aslam, Resident Surgeon, and his team organized the session, while Dr. Zia ur Rehman (Orthopedic and Spine Surgeon) and Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba (General Surgeon) trained the students.

Students and faculty called the session highly fruitful and asked Midland Doctors to continue such initiatives.

Midland Doctors Hosts Hands-On Laparoscopic Training Session for Medical Students of Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq Medical College, Muzaffarabad
Midland Doctors successfully hosted a hands-on laparoscopic surgery training session today for MBBS students & Post Graduates Trainees of AJKMC & AIMS Muzaffarabad. The session was organized by the college and held at Midland Doctors Medical Institute Advanced Education Center.
MBBS students & Post Graduates Trainees attended and received practical training on the center's laparoscopic training machines. Midland Doctors provided the venue, the latest equipment and a fully equipped learning environment, giving students the opportunity to build practical skills in modern minimally invasive surgery.
Senior surgeons & Executive Director from Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Muzaffarabad, joined the session as trainers and guided the students through the procedures. They were joined by the surgical team of Midland Doctors.
The session was supervised and led by Dr. Ziyad Afzal Kiani of AIMS. Dr. Farzana, also trained the participants. Dr. Zeeshan Aslam, Resident Surgeon, and his team were responsible for organizing and running the session. Dr. Zia ur Rehman, Orthopedic and Spine Surgeon, and Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba, General Surgeon, participated actively and trained the students.
Students and faculty members described the session as highly fruitful and valuable for practical learning. They requested that Midland Doctors continue such sessions and keep supporting the college in medical education.

Despite the difficulties of recent months, our orphan outreach has carried on. The children are back after the summer, and the monthly nutrition support has resumed.

Our nurse has visited consistently all year, identifying health issues early so that every child receives the right care, whether at the orphanage or through the hospital OPD.

Next, we aim to set up a library for the children and begin catch-up immunisations in the coming weeks.

Midland Doctors Medical Institute Brings Free Expert Cardiology Care to Poor and Needy Patients
Guided by its mission to serve the poor and needy, Midland Doctors Medical Institute (MDMI), Tandali, Muzaffarabad, is providing expert cardiology services to deserving heart patients who would otherwise be unable to afford specialist care. Interventional Cardiologists Dr. Naeem Tariq and Dr. Nayyer see patients at the institute twice a week, supported by diagnostic services including ECG, ETT and Echocardiography. Patients requiring Angiography, Angioplasty or Stenting are placed on the procedure list and treated in turn, while those with urgent cardiac conditions receive medicines completely free of cost. The institute reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that no patient in Muzaffarabad and surrounding areas is deprived of life-saving heart care because of financial hardship.
