PEDIALYTE 60TH ANNIVERSARY SWEEPSTAKES | OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MAKING A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
By participating in the PEDIALYTE 60TH ANNIVERSARY Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”), each eligible person who submits a valid entry (“Entrant”) unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with, and abide by these Official Rules, and the decisions of Abbott Laboratories (“Sponsor”), which shall be final and binding in all respects.
SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY PERIOD: Sweepstakes begins on October 7th, 2026
at 9:30am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on November 18th at 12:00pm ET
(“Sweepstakes Period”).
ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of Puerto Rico who
are age 18 years or older at the time of entry.
Employees of the Sponsor and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries,
affiliates, agents, and any other entity engaged in the development or ex*****on of
the Sweepstakes or in the development, production or distribution of promotional
materials for this Sweepstakes, and members of each of their immediate families
(spouses, parents, grandparents, children, siblings and their respective spouses)
and those living in the same household of each are not eligible. The Sweepstakes
is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Health Care Professionals and Government Officials are not eligible for the
Sweepstakes.
“Health Care Professional” shall mean any medically licensed or
scientifically trained professional using or expected to use such license or training
in his or her work providing health care (examples include physicians,
pharmacists, nurses, researchers and laboratory staff), as well as any person
making purchasing or usage decisions for a health care institution (examples
include administrators and purchasing personnel for medical facilities) about
Sponsor products. This definition applies no matter where the provision of health
care occurs, whether in a private facility, or one owned by or affiliated with
government.
“Government Official” shall mean any person who is employed by
an entity which is owned, controlled, funded or operated by any level of
government in any country, as well as any person acting as a government agent or
representative.
In the event that the Sweepstakes is challenged by any regulatory authority,
Sponsor reserves the right to discontinue or modify the Sweepstakes or to
disqualify participants in the affected geographic areas. Void wherever prohibited
by law.
TO ENTER: During the Sweepstakes Period, Entrant must follow on Instagram, like Giveaway post, tag two friends, and
repost Giveaway post. (“Entry”). Limit one Entry per Entrant. All Entries must be
received by the close of the Sweepstakes Period. The computer clock of Sponsor’s
administrator is the official timekeeping devise of the Sweepstakes.
PRIZES,APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”), AND ODDS:
Three (3) winners will be randomly chosen.
Prize 1: Prize winner will receive an (1) air conditioning unit without installation (Mini Split 12K 19Seer 230v), one (1) box of Pedialyte Freezer Pops, 1L of Pedialyte AdvancedCare Plus, 1L of Pedialyte Classic, 1L of Pedialyte Sport.
Prize 2: One (1) Vanilla gift card, three (3) Pedialyte Half Liters and one (1) box
of Pedialyte Sport Powder Packs.
Prize 3: One (1) Corkcicle cooler, three (3) Pedialyte Sport Liters, three (3)
Pedialyte Half Liters.
The total ARV of all prizes to be awarded: $1,689
Odds: Odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible entries
received through the Sweepstakes Period. The odds of winning the prize are
estimated to be greater than 3 in 150 (TBD). The odds of winning will depend on
the total number of eligible entries received throughout the Sweepstakes Period]].
WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION: The potential winner will be
selected in a digital random drawing before a notary public from among all eligible
entries received by Sponsor. Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding.
The potential winner(s) will be notified via Instagram DM. Potential winners will
be required to confirm their name and mailing address to Sponsor within twenty-
four (24) hours of notification. Noncompliance will result in disqualification and
an alternative winner may be selected.
The potential winner(s) will be required to submit his/her valid social security
number and/or other identification to Sponsor and will be required to execute, have
notarized and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability and, unless
prohibited by law, Publicity, within three (3) days of the date of issuance.. If a
potential winner is at least eight (18) but still considered a minor in his/her
jurisdiction of residence, prize may be awarded in the name of his/her parent or
legal guardian who will be responsible for fulfilling all requirements imposed on
winner set forth herein.
If a selected potential winner fails to claim the prize or if a selected potential
winner cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason, or he/she is not in
compliance with these Official Rules, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate
winner may be randomly selected at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. If
Sponsor’s attempt to contact a potential winner fails to reach a potential winner
for any reason or if the potential winner fails to respond to the notification as
directed, or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, the potential
winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be randomly selected at
the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Prizes will be awarded within approximately
one (1) week after all winners are verified.
If a winner is otherwise eligible under these Official Rules, but is nevertheless
deemed a minor in his or her state of primary residence, the prize will be awarded
in the name of winner’s parent or legal guardian who will be required to execute
and return a Release on minor’s behalf.
PRIZE CONDITIONS: Prizes may not be redeemed for cash. Any difference
between stated value and actual value will not be awarded. Prizes are non-
assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions by winner are permitted. To
redeem the first prize (Mini Split 12K 19Seer 230v), the winner must bring a
Refrigeration Technician with valid State License that will install their unit, as per
DACO Regulation 9732. The cost of installation is the winner’s sole
responsibility. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute prize
(or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. No cash in lieu of
prize and no exchange of prize, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Any
other incidental expenses of the prize not specified herein are the winner’s sole
responsibility. Winner may not seek reimbursement from any third party for any
Sponsor product awarded.
Winners are responsible for all federal, provincial, state, local and income taxes
associated with winning prize(s).
Winner acknowledges that the Sponsor and all other businesses affiliated with or
participating in this Sweepstakes and their agents do not make, nor are in any
manner responsible for any warranty, representations, expressed or implied, in fact
or in law, relative to the quality, conditions, fitness or merchantability of any
aspect of the prize being offered, except that each merchandise prize shall be
subject to its manufacturer’s standard warranty (if any), and is otherwise awarded
“as-is.”
Except where prohibited by law, entry and acceptance of prize(s) constitute
permission to use winner's name, prize won, hometown, likeness, video,
photographs, and statements for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity
(including online posting) in any and all media whatsoever now or hereafter
known throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation,
notification or permission.
GENERAL: PARTICIPATING ENTRANTS AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL
RULES AND THE DECISIONS OF THE SPONSOR, AND RELEASE AND
HOLD THE SPONSOR, ITS RESPECTIVE PARENT COMPANIES,
SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, INSTAGRAM AND FACEBOOK,
AND ANY OTHER ENTITY ENGAGED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OR
EX*****ON OF THE SWEEPSTAKES OR IN THE DEVELOPMENT,
PRODUCTION OR DISTRIBUTION OF PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS FOR
THIS SWEEPSTAKES FREE AND HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ANY
1 AND ALL CLAIMS, LOSSES, DAMAGES, RIGHTS, ACTIONS AND
LIABILITY OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO,
PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, OR DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF PROPERTY,
RELATING TO THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, AND
THE ACCEPTANCE AND USE/MISUSE OF THE PRIZE OFFERED.
PARTICIPATING ENTRANTS WAIVE ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM PUNITIVE,
INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. WINNER ASSUMES
ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY OR DAMAGE CAUSED OR CLAIMED
TO BE CAUSED, BY PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR
USE/MISUSE OR REDEMPTION OF THE PRIZE(S). SPONSOR IS NOT
RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TYPOGRAPHICAL OR OTHER ERROR IN THE
PRINTING OF THE OFFER, ADMINISTRATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES
OR IN THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE PRIZE.
The Sponsor (i) makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind
concerning the prize (or any portion thereof), and (ii) disclaims any implied
warranty. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not
constitute a waiver of that provision.
Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered, or mass entries or
entries generated by a script, macro or use of automated devices are void. The
Sponsor is not responsible for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged or illegible
entries; or (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or
transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry
materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer,
hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or
failure to receive entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems
or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof;
or (iii) any injury or damage to Entrant's or any other person's computer related to
or resulting from participating in the Sweepstakes. By participating in the
Sweepstakes, you (i) agree to be bound by these official rules, including all
eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of Sponsor,
which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Failure to
comply with these official rules may result in disqualification from the
Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any
Sweepstakes it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these
official rules; and (ii) discontinue the Sweepstakes if it becomes technically
corrupted (including if a computer virus or system malfunction inalterably impairs
its ability to conduct the Sweepstakes), and (iii) to select winners from among all
eligible entries received prior to discontinuation.
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the
Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof) should virus, bugs, unauthorized human
intervention, or other causes corrupt administration, security, fairness, integrity or
proper operation of the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof). In the event of
cancellation, the Sponsor also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify
these Official Rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the
terms and conditions of the Sweepstakes.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY
WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR UNDERMINE
THE CONTENT OR LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES
MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD
SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR WILL DISQUALIFY ANY
ENTRANT, AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK ANY AND
ALL REMEDIES AVAILABLE FROM ANY PERSON OR PERSONS
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT
PERMITTED BY LAW.
In the event of dispute as to the identity or eligibility of any potential winner based
on an email address, the winning entry will be declared made by the “Authorized
Account Holder” of the email address submitted at the time of entry provided
he/she is eligible according to these Official Rules. The “Authorized Account
Holder” is defined as the natural person to whom the applicable Internet service
provider or other organization (such as a business or educational institution) has
assigned the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email
address.
DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, Entrant agrees that any and all disputes,
claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or
any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of
class action. All participating Entrants consent to the personal jurisdiction of
federal and state courts located in Lake County, Illinois and agree that such courts
have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes. All issues and questions
concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these
Official Rules, Entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the
Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed
in accordance with, the laws of the state of Illinois without giving effect to any
choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Illinois or any other
jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction
other than the State of Illinois.
BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES,
EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY
APPLICABLE LAW: (1) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES
OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE
SWEEPSTAKES, OR ANY PRIZE AWARDED, WILL BE RESOLVED
INDIVIDUALLY THROUGH BINDING ARBITRATION AS SET FORTH
ABOVE, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; (2) ANY
AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS WILL BE LIMITED TO
ACTUAL THIRD-PARTY, OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED (IF ANY),
BUT IN NO EVENT WILL ATTORNEYS' FEES BE AWARDED OR
RECOVERABLE; (3) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY
ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND
ENTRANT HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVES ALL
RIGHTS TO SEEK, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR
SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS AND/OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES,
OTHER THAN ACTUAL OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES, AND/OR ANY
RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE
INCREASED; AND (4) ENTRANT'S REMEDIES ARE LIMITED TO A
CLAIM FOR MONEY DAMAGES (IF ANY) AND ENTRANT
IRREVOCABLY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR
EQUITABLE RELIEF. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE
LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY, SO THE ABOVE MAY
NOT APPLY TO EVERY ENTRANT.
THE PARTIES HEREBY WAIVE THEIR RIGHT TO JURY TRIAL WITH
RESPECT TO ALL CLAIMS AND ISSUES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING
TO THIS AGREEMENT WHETHER SOUNDING IN CONTRACT OR TORT,
AND INCLUDING ANY CLAIM FOR FRAUDULENT INDUCEMENT
THEREOF.
PRIVACY: Personal information collected from Entrants is subject to the
Sponsor’s Privacy Policies, which can be found at https://www.abbott.com/privacy-policy.html. By entering this Sweepstakes, each entrant gives his/her express permission to be contacted by Sponsor by telephone, email and/or postal mail for Sweepstakes purposes. He/she also give permission to have his/her Instagram handle published as a winner of Sweepstakes with no compensation.
