🎗️ A successful event was held as part of the MDT Collaboration BC initiative, dedicated to promoting breast cancer screening and strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration between family physicians and specialists involved in patient care.

Speakers:
🔹 Cristina Oprean – ROR & MDT Collaboration
🔹 Mihai Iacob – Breast Cancer Screening

The agenda also included an introduction to the event objectives, a Q&A session, and interactive discussions moderated by Cristina Oprean and Mihai Iacob.

A key focus of the presentations was the importance of early breast cancer detection through effective screening programs. The benefits of digital mammography as the cornerstone of breast cancer screening were highlighted, together with the complementary role of breast ultrasound, particularly in women with dense breast tissue, where it can improve the detection of breast lesions that may not be easily visible on mammography alone.

Participants discussed the challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of screening programs, as well as the essential role of multidisciplinary teamwork in optimizing patient pathways and improving clinical outcomes.

The event concluded with a valuable exchange of knowledge and best practices, reaffirming the shared commitment to prevention, early diagnosis, and integrated, patient-centered breast cancer care.
