Exhibition design for In a Grove of Handbags – The Little Black Handbag by AlmiraSadar Fashion & Home
The central element of the exhibition design is the knot, a basic element of crochet. It serves both a symbolic and a functional purpose, also acting as a hook for the handbags. It connects traditional handcraft techniques with the contemporary technologies used to create the exhibition installation. Transformed in scale, material and colour, the knot takes on a new expression, forming part of a hanging garden of ropes, oversized orange knots and more than fifty unique black crocheted handbags.
With no clear boundaries or predetermined route, the space invites visitors to explore the installation and discover the handbags from every angle. The contrast between the small and the large, the unique and the repetitive, creates a dynamic spatial composition that highlights the distinct characteristics of both entities. With minimal intervention, a light yet expressive spatial composition emerges. After the exhibition, all its elements can be reused.

Prostorska postavitev razstave V gaju torbic – Mala črna torbica AlmiraSadar Fashion & Home
Izhodišče postavitve je vozel kot osnovni element kvačkanja. V postavitvi prevzame tako simbolno kot funkcionalno vlogo, saj služi kot kljukica za obešanje torbic. Povezuje tradicionalne ročne tehnike s sodobnimi tehnologijami, uporabljenimi pri izdelavi razstavne instalacije. S spremembo merila, materiala in barve dobi nov izraz ter postane osrednji element visečega vrta, v katerem se prepletajo vrvi, povečani oranžni vozli in več kot petdeset unikatnih kvačkanih črnih torbic.
Gre za prostor brez jasnih meja in vnaprej določene poti, ki obiskovalca vabi k raziskovanju ter ogledu torbic z vseh strani. Kontrast med drobnim in velikim, edinstvenim in ponovljivim ustvarja dinamično prostorsko kompozicijo, v kateri se poudarijo značilnosti obeh entitet. Tako z minimalno intervencijo nastane lahkotna, a izrazita prostorska kompozicija, ki jo je mogoče po koncu razstave v celoti razstaviti in njene elemente ponovno uporabiti.
