Quality is easy to talk about. The real work is in how we practise it.

In the checks we make, the processes we follow, the questions we ask and the improvements we pursue, even when the work is routine and the details go unnoticed.

Last year, our Quality Week conversation challenged us to think differently about quality and the role each of us plays in it. This year, we take that thinking further.

Under the theme: Powering Performance, World Quality Week invites us to consider an important question: how does the way we work shape the results we achieve?

At Tunga Nutrition, this is a conversation that reaches into every part of what we do. And in the weeks ahead, we’ll be taking a closer look at the people, practices, and thinking behind quality.

A safer workplace starts with the standards we set every day.

Day 3 of Safety Week 2026 focused on I INSPIRE, with our teams reflecting on the importance of maintaining a clean plant and cleaner production processes.

From housekeeping and waste management to the way we manage our processes, cleanliness plays an important role in creating a safer workplace and protecting the quality of our final product.

The conversation became a commitment as team members wrote down what they will improve, do more of and take greater ownership of when it comes to cleanliness and safety.

Those commitments now have a place on our commitment wall, keeping our promises visible and reminding us that the example we set can inspire others to do the same.

What happens when you stop simply looking and start looking with purpose?

You notice more.

Day 2 of **Safety Week 2026** brought **I DECIDE. I ACT.** to life through a hands-on PPE Challenge, Gemba Walks and a Hazard Hunt across different parts of the workplace.

Teams put their PPE knowledge to the test, then went into the gate, waste area, production facility and warehouses to identify unsafe conditions.

Some hazards could be addressed immediately. Others needed to be raised, discussed and followed up.

The lesson was simple: safety ownership does not end when you identify a problem. It begins with deciding what to do about it.

And there is still more to come.

And just like that, Safety Week 2026 is underway. 💚

This year, we’re exploring what it really means to OWN SAFETY.

Day 1 was about starting the conversation — having the courage to speak up, making the right choices and recognising that creating a safer workplace is something we all have a part in.

From reflections on STOP WORK to insights from our GM, Patrick, on Gemba Walks and how we can support one another on the ground, Day 1 set the tone for what’s ahead.

But this is only the beginning. 👀

Over the next few days, we’ll bring I CHOOSE. I DECIDE. I ACT. I INSPIRE. I PROTECT, to life through conversations, actions and experiences from our people.

Today we launched Safety Week 2026 at Tunga Nutrition with a clear reminder: safety is a personal commitment.

Guided by Nutreco's theme of “Safety Ownership,” today's sessions focused on three vital pillars: I CHOOSE, I DECIDE, and I INSPIRE.
We spent the day discussing the courage it takes to speak up, intervene, and exercise Stop Work Authority whenever conditions aren't right. Inspiring to witness our team’s dedication to keeping themselves, their colleagues, and our partners safe.

Looking forward to the rest of Safety Week through October 8th as we push toward our ultimate goal: Zero Harm.

To wrap up an inspiring week, our team came together for a Blood Drive CSR initiative with Nakasero Blood Bank.
