Summary: The major function of this position is to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day Radiology services (i.e. Radiographic imaging and ultrasound) to outpatients/inpatients at the CMC as well as handling sensitive equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Preparing patients for radiographic investigations.

• Taking vital signs of patients
• Collecting information about conditions and treatment plans from care givers, nurses and doctors
• Dispensing of drugs prescribed by Doctors to patients
• Answering to patients calls
• Maintaining the dispensing unit, and preparing reports on use of drug and updating stock list and checking expiry date
• Examining patients for bruises and other injuries/wounds
• Lifting patients into beds, wheelchairs or exam table
• Turning or repositioning patients who are bed ridden

Duties and responsibilities
HR
• Compile and update employee records

• Receive EFTs for corporate/insurance payments
• Transfer income activities to QuickBooks system on a daily basis

2. Job position: Receptionist
Reports to: Administrative/HR Assistant

Duty station: Kampala
Summary: The clinic receptionist will be responsible for all aspects of patient visit coordination including monitoring patient scheduling and maintaining visit documentation. The receptionist’s role is instrumental in the clinic’s promise to deliver quality customer service and maintain superior patient satisfaction.
Duties and responsibilities
• Effectively handle all communication with patients by phone; record bookings, coordinate suppliers’ requests and forward all consult related calls to doctors and nurse
• Manage daily schedule for physicians; book reasonable number of appointments (mix between well and sick), determinate optimal visit length per patient. Distribute schedule daily to all office staff
• Prepare files for triage and doctor visits; manage optimal order of patient visits based on emergency walk-ins, latecomers and regularly scheduled appointments
• Mange patient visits within clinic: assist with subsequent scheduling, distribution of forms, directions to triage and doctors’ rooms, complaints, etc.
• Contact patients by phone for scheduling reminders and for feedback on cancelled appointments
• Receive and file clinical, lab, and x-ray results for the clinic
• Arrange patient transfers and discharges from the hospital

Job Requirements
• Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high stress environment

3. Position: Clinical Officer

Reports to: Doctor in Charge / General Manager
Duty station Kampala
Summary: The Clinical Officer is responsible for providing clinical services to outpatients/inpatients at the CMC
Duties and Responsibilities
• History taking and examination of patients
• Ordering investigations and interpreting results
• Diagnosing and Management of patients in out-patient
• Appropriate referral and follow up of patients
• Giving support and health education to patients and staff.
• Make progressive follow up to those admitted in the Clinic
• Ensure to check on regular basis the first aid box in each department
• Submitting monthly reports on accidents, sick off and medical expenditure
• Ensure drug purchases are in line with the budget and ensure the hospital does not run out of stock for the necessary drugs and other items
• Ensure all invoices for patient’s treatment are checked and counter signed before forwarding to accounts
• Provide regular feedback to entire Healthcare Services’ team on treatment, trends, challenges and ideas for improvement in service delivery.
• Perform any other duties as requested by management

Job Requirements
• Must have a valid practicing license
• Diploma in clinical medicine from a recognized institution
• At least 3-5 years’ experience post registration in a quality care delivery setting.

Summary: The clinic nurse will make use of interpersonal, technical, and clinical skills to work with other clinical staff to provide quality patient care at a personal level.
Duties and responsibilities
• Reports and record patient’s behavior
• Coordinate with physicians and healthcare professional for creating and evaluating customized care plans
• Reports and records environments for patients
• Diagnosing the disease by analyzing patient’s symptoms and taking required actions for his/her recovery
• Maintaining reports of patients medical history and monitoring changes in their conditions
• Carry out requisite treatments on medication

Job summary: The laboratory assistant will be handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests reporting findings as well as maintenance of quality assurance records. The individual will work collectively with all patients in accordance with department rules and regulations.

Responsibilities and duties
• Collect and process specimens to help physicians diagnose diseases
• Receives and process samples to identify suitability
• Prepare samples for testing using various types of laboratory equipment
• Perform laboratory testing, including bacterial culturing where necessary.
• Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory records
