In an effort to screen more patients for COVID-19 symptoms, the Albany Urgent Care team is opening a drive-through screening facility to new and existing patients for testing. Due to a limited number of testing kits, you must call (229) 496-2472 and be pre-screened for symptoms by phone before arriving. If you are concerned you may have been exposed to COVID-19 and are experiencing symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath), after you call (229) 496-2472 for a phone screening, all those who meet screening criteria will be given an appointment time to come to the drive-through clinic.

Most people who contract the virus suffer relatively mild symptoms, but older individuals and those with chronic conditions or a compromised immune system are more likely to develop severe symptoms.

We are still taking all other urgent care illnesses and injuries during this time. We hope everyone stays safe and are remembering to wash their hands.

We want to wish our Owners Robert and Kelley Parrish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY weekend!

Yes!... they share the same birthday as well as their passion for taking care of their patients through every aspect of their urgent care needs. They enjoy working together with the same goal in mind- to serve others in their community. Together they want to make a difference in the community by offering this service. They will bring their knowledge in a direction that will help individuals receive urgent and primary medical care.

We are all on this unknown journey of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Parrish's and their medical staff will do the best they can to protect the lives of you and your family during your visit and treatment care, whether it's in the office or parking lot!

Thank you BOTH for ALL you do for our Albany Urgent Care family!! Happy Birthday from your admin team, patients, employees, and the community you so passionately serve.

NATIONAL LOVE YOUR PET DAY
On February 20th, pet lovers everywhere observe National Love Your Pet Day. This holiday focuses on giving extra attention to our pets. The day encourages pampering our pets and focusing on the special relationship pets hold in our lives.

HOW TO OBSERVE #NationalLoveYourPetDay
Bring your pet a special treat, take an extra-long walk or give them more attention. Other ideas include:

Check that their vaccines are up to date.
Watch a pet video with them full of cats, dogs and other critters.
Give them a few extra strokes with the brush while grooming.
Practice their favorite commands – sit, shake, rollover.
Play their favorite game or bring out their best toy.
Inspect their toys to make sure they’re in good shape. Throw out any broken toys.
Wash their bedding, even if it’s not their laundry day. Let them fluff it up just the way they like it.
Whatever you decide to do, spoil and appreciate your pets! Use #NationalLoveYourPetDay to post on social media.

National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.)

On January 9th, 2020, partnering organizations in support of law enforcement officers nationwide will promote National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.). In light of recent negativity directed toward law enforcement nationally, there is a need to show law enforcement officers that our citizens recognize the difficult and sometimes impossible career they have chosen, in public service to us all.

On January 9th of each year, we will call our nation’s citizens to action in support of law enforcement. Those citizens who appreciate law enforcement and are discouraged about the negative attention being given to law enforcement are encouraged to take time on January 9th to show their support.

Most importantly, if you see a police officer, thank a police officer.

Why Veterans Day And The Number 11 Are Tied Together

Why is Veterans Day 11/11?
The holiday marks the anniversary of the 1918 signing of the Armistice, which took place in a railway carriage, between the Allies and Germany. This event marked the end of fighting on the Western Front in the First World War. The signing took place at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

Welcome

On October 1, 2019, we opened our first Urgent Care in Albany, GA. We set out with the goal of providing affordable care to all patients, and hope to continue to do so in the decades to follow.

We know that your lives are busy, and we want to make sure we partner alongside of you to give you care at times that are convenient for you. Our center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM, with the hopes of having extended hours in the near future. Please be patient with us as we go forward on this new journey, as our hours and services may fluctuate as we plan to accommodate our community. We are starting small, but with God’s help and plan he has for us, we will continue to grow as big as he will allow.

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Every step in life and in business had already been ordered for us before we were even born. God does not reveal his plans to us all at once, because we could not handle it. He gives us a glimpse through visions and dreams, but he plans for us to all live a prosperous life. We hope you become a part of our vision and dreams for Albany Urgent Care. Our top priority is our patient experience. We understand how frustrating being a patient can be, and we promise to do everything in our power to make sure:

  • Your wait time is as short as possible

  • You are given excellent care by talented providers

  • You are treated in the most affordable way possible
  • Sincerely,

Your Albany Urgent Care Staff & Physicians
