The Cortland County Health Department's Early Intervention Program is excited to announce a collaboration with Cortland Area Communities That Care and the Cortland Literacy Coalition. In an effort to promote literacy in Cortland County, all children referred to Early Intervention will receive a package of 10 children's books. Early Intervention evaluators and therapists will use these books when working with children and their parents.

NYSACHO President, Dr. Indu Gupta gave the key note speech at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, MPA Convocation. During her speech she discussed how the COVID-19 crisis brought people and organizations together and highlighted the importance of public service.

She said, "Crises test our skills, character, and leadership, and bring out the best in us – whether you’re a student, a teacher, a community leader, business owner, support staff, or a parent, all of us were called on to do public service in some shape or form during this crisis."
