Sallie A. Stall As a Duke University board certified Health and Wellbeing Coach, I am your Chief Health Optimizer. A healthy lifestyle does not have to be hard to achieve.

I don’t believe in diets, pills, shots, deprivation, or strenuous exercise programs.

Have you ever wondered why taking care of your weight can suddenly feel different after 40?

You may be eating many of the same foods. You may still be exercising. You might even be working harder than you did years ago—yet your body doesn't seem to respond quite the same way.

There are reasons for that.

As we move through midlife, changes in hormones, muscle mass, sleep, stress, recovery, activity and everyday life can all influence our health and body composition.

The answer isn't necessarily to **eat less, exercise more, or try another restrictive diet.

Sometimes the better place to start is asking:

What does my body need at this stage of my life?

Maybe it's more strength training.
Maybe it's better nourishment rather than greater restriction.
Maybe it's improving sleep.
Maybe it's managing stress.
Maybe it's simply finding a routine you can realistically maintain.

As a health and wellness coach, one of the things I want women to know is that you don't have to do everything perfectly to improve your health.

Small, meaningful changes practiced consistently can make a tremendous difference.

Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing practical information about midlife health, menopause, nutrition, strength, healthy aging, weight management and creating habits that actually work in real life.

I'm looking forward to having these conversations with you.

What's one thing about your health that seems different now than it did 10 years ago?
