India. Ukraine. New York. North Carolina. The story behind Orzu Kids πŸ‘‡

India: Dr. Arthi grew up surrounded by Ayurveda, and learned early that true health is harmony.

Ukraine: Her medical training there taught her that real healing honors both evidence and tradition.

New York: She completed her pediatric residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. Then her own daughter developed severe eczema and food allergies, and she went looking for answers beyond conventional medicine. That search led to a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine.

North Carolina: Here she brought it all together. Orzu Kids is an integrative pediatric practice in Apex, caring for the whole child: body, mind, and spirit.

Every stop shaped how she cares for your family today.

A packed calendar can leave a child running on empty.

Fall fills up fast: school, sports, lessons, practices, weekend plans. Each one is a good thing, but together they can leave a child with almost no time to just be.

Downtime isn't wasted time. Unstructured hours give a child's body and mind room to reset. That can look like playing outside, drawing, daydreaming, or lying in the grass with nowhere to be.

A few questions worth asking this season:
- Does your child have at least some unscheduled time most days?
- Are evenings calm enough to wind down before bed?
- Do they seem to recharge on weekends, or come into Monday tired?

Looking at the whole child means looking at the whole schedule, too.

The note from school is a clue, not a verdict.

Six weeks into the year, patterns start to show. Maybe it's trouble sitting still, big feelings after pickup, a teacher mentioning focus, or a child who seems exhausted by lunch.

It's easy to read that note as a judgment about your child, or about you. It's neither. It's information.

Behavior is often a signal. What happens in class can connect to sleep, digestion, nutrition, stress, and how your child's body and nervous system are handling the day. Integrative care looks at all of it together, so we can understand what's driving the pattern instead of just managing what shows up at school.

Bring the note. Bring your questions. We'll look at the whole picture with you.

3 questions to ask before choosing an integrative pediatrician πŸ‘‡

1️⃣ "Are you a board-certified pediatrician?"
Training matters. Dr. Arthi is a board-certified pediatrician with a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine, so your child gets both conventional pediatric training and an integrative lens.

2️⃣ "Will you work alongside my pediatrician?"
You shouldn't have to choose. Orzu Kids is a specialized integrative center, not a primary care practice. We work alongside your child's existing care.

3️⃣ "Is the plan built for my child?"
Two kids with the same symptom may need very different plans. Individualized care means looking at the whole child (body, mind, and spirit) and building from there.

Save this for when you're comparing options, and send it to a parent friend who's been asking.

Every practice has a why. Dr. Arthi's started at home.

She was a pediatrician trained at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York when her own daughter developed severe eczema and food allergies. As a doctor and a mom, she went looking for answers beyond conventional medicine.

That search led her to a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine. It also brought her back to what she grew up with in India: Ayurveda, and the belief that true health is harmony.

Today, Dr. Arthi is a board-certified pediatrician, integrative medicine specialist, and certified homeopath. She brings ancient traditions and modern science together to care for the whole child, body, mind, and spirit.

She knows this path because she's walked it as a parent.

Orzu means "May you be well in all aspects of your being."

That's more than a name for us. It's how we practice.

A child isn't a set of separate symptoms. Sleep, digestion, mood, focus, and skin are all connected, and so are body, mind, and spirit. When we look at the whole child, we can look past symptoms to root causes.

That's why integrative pediatric care brings together the best of ancient traditions and modern science: Functional Medicine, Homeopathy, Ayurvedic principles, and mind-body work, all focused on one child and one family at a time.

Every family who walks through our doors gets the same wish: that your child be well in every part of who they are.

Things parents of kids with ADHD are tired of hearing πŸ‘‡

"Have you tried being stricter?"
Consistency matters. But no amount of strictness changes what's happening underneath. If your child is struggling, it's not because you haven't been firm enough.

"They'll grow out of it."
Maybe. But your child is living it right now, and so are you. Waiting and hoping isn't a plan.

What helps more is a whole-child look at sleep, gut health, nutrition, and stress. These can all shape how focus, energy, and mood show up day to day. Integrative care looks at the full picture and searches for root causes, working alongside the care your child already has.

If you're a parent who's heard it all, we're not here to add another opinion. We're here to listen, and to look deeper with you.

ADHD is a diagnosis. Your child is a whole person.

A diagnosis can bring real clarity and access to support. It doesn't tell the whole story of who your child is or what shapes their day.

Sleep, gut health, nutrition, stress, and how the nervous system handles demands can all affect how focus and energy show up from one day to the next. That's why integrative care looks at the whole child, not just a checklist of symptoms.

This isn't about replacing the care your child already has. It's about adding to it and looking for root causes that may be part of the picture.

If you're curious what a whole-child approach could look like for your family, we'd love to talk.

Your child's first visit shouldn't mean starting from zero.

If you've already spent months (or years) in waiting rooms, that work matters. Past labs, specialist notes, evaluations. Bring the whole folder, even the pieces that didn't lead to answers.

Integrative care looks at the whole child: body, mind, and history together. Earlier findings help us see the full picture and connect patterns that can get missed when every appointment stands on its own.

We'd rather build on what's already been done than start you over.

Not sure what to bring? Bring it all. We'll sort through it together.

The hardest part of starting somewhere new is usually not knowing what you're starting.

So here's the honest version of what it looks like at Orzu Kids.

It begins with the Initial Case Review β€” a conversation. What you're seeing, what you've already tried, what's been ruled out, what still doesn't add up. Nobody hands you a plan in the first ten minutes.

From there, we talk through whether testing would actually tell us something worth knowing. Not testing for the sake of it.

Then a plan gets built around your child specifically β€” food, lifestyle, and whichever tools genuinely fit. What works for one child in this practice may look nothing like what works for another.

And then we adjust, because kids change and a plan that can't move with them isn't much of a plan.

That's it. One conversation to start, and no obligation to keep going.
