Yoga at home with my little yoga buddy. A home practice can be hard because there's always something else you could be doing. But especially when little eyes are watching, it's even more important to prioritize your physical and mental health.

Here are some tips that have helped me with consistency lately:
1. Pick out a video/routine/workout the night before.
2. Lay out your clothes the night before (or just do it in your pj's ๐Ÿคญ)
3. Keep your mat rolled out so all you have to do is step on and move.
4. Think of how good you'll feel after.
5. It's not all or nothing, if things don't go according to plan, find movement in another way. Going for a walk, random squats, pushups, downdogs, planks are all valid options.

Happy Saturday to you from me and Super baby!

A few weeks ago, we ended our breastfeeding journey. We made it 18 months, through the tough beginning, nursing strikes, to being attached to each other every couple of hours to our special little bond. It was kind of sudden and unexpected for me even though we were down to just one feed for a while. The end of this journey was definitely bittersweet. I'm so grateful to have had this experience with baby A. At the same time, it feels good to have my body back to myself.

We're bonding in new ways now with snuggling and playing and I'm savoring every moment.

#WellnessWednesday Challenge
We often tend to take a break from our healthy habits around the holidays. This is completely acceptable and a day or two of doing things differently won't drastically change your life.

However there are some habits we need even more during the holidays. Whether it's dealing with the stress of cooking or cleaning or dealing with the difficult personalities in your family. Or maybe this year it's the fact that we might not get to see everyone in person. Habits like movement, mindfulness and meditation become even more important during times like these.

So while you might not go full out on your workout, a simple walk outdoors or a different form of movement might help. While you might indulge in delicious foods, being mindful and present with each bite might help you listen to your body. While you might not sit down for a 10-20 minute meditation, simply stepping into a quiet corner and taking ten deep breaths might help.

It's not an all or nothing strategy, it's a shift your perspective and adapt strategy. That's my challenge to you, how can you shift and adapt to take care of you when things are out of routine?
