We're hiring a production and fulfillment lead at Rogue Evergreens. We're a small operation and you'd be employee #1.

The job is packing and shipping the day's online orders from our shop in Ashland, and mixing, bottling, and labeling product. Both happen daily. $28 an hour, about 30 hours a week, weekdays, daytime hours.

Once you're trained and comfortable, you'll be running the packaging and production rooms mostly independently, with me in and out every day. Most days it's you, the orders, and whatever you like to listen to.

Apply on Indeed, takes about 5 minutes: https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=62b13aa0c1848249

I quit my job to start a forest scent company. Now my hands are covered in pine sap, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

We make pure essential oils from wild harvested evergreens. It is an incredibly inefficient process and requires A LOT of sweat equity. But doing the heavy lifting ourselves allows us to capture the living chemistry (and aroma!) of these forests in an authentic way.

Try a discovery pack and find your favorite forest scent! Available in pure essential oils, room sprays, beard & body oils, and more!

Our entire business relies on the health of these forests.

We selectively harvest wild evergreens to distill our own essential oils, and we do it in a way that ensures the trees can push out new growth next year.

The result is a line of truly natural home & body products that smell exactly like the forests of the Pacific Northwest.

Start with a discovery pack and find your favorite evergreen!

Most commercial pine products smell like a cheap air freshener.

If you want a scent that actually smells like the forest, you have to do things the hard way. Every product we make is scented exclusively with essential oils that we distill ourselves from wild Pacific Northwest evergreens. The process is entirely inefficient. But the result is undeniably authentic.

Stop settling for fake pine candles. Try a Discovery Pack and find your favorite *real* evergreen scent!

Most people have a very specific idea of what cedar smells like.

What you find in big box store candles is usually a generic, commercially produced scent that smells more like a hardware store than an actual forest.

Incense cedar is entirely different. While it is not botanically a true cedar, it produces one of the most incredible and complex scents in the Pacific Northwest. Its fresh boughs have a warm, rich, and incredibly spicy profile that is unique to the living tree.

We selectively harvest and distill these fresh tips to capture that exact scent.

If you are burnt out on generic "woodsy" scents, head to our site to experience what the living forest actually smells like.

I get a lot of questions about how to use the hydrosols that come free with new orders from Rogue Evergreens.

My personal favorite way is just like this. When you are out working in the heat and covered in sap & dust, there is nothing better than a pure forest refresh.

But a lot of folks also use them daily as a natural facial toner or an aftershave. It is a great way to tighten your skin without using drying alcohols or synthetic fragrances.

Head to the website, join the newsletter, and your free hydrosol will automatically be added to your first order. Let me know what you think when you try it.

The Pacific yew completely revolutionized cancer treatment in the 1960s. Its bark contains Taxol, a powerful compound that prevents cancer cells from replicating.

Early on, harvesting it was highly destructive. It required the bark of a whole tree to yield just one dose, and removing that bark is fatal to the yew. Today, the medical industry creates the drug in a lab without needing to strip wild trees.

This species highlights the incredibly complex chemistry at work out in the woods. It is a perfect example of why the tallest trees in the canopy do not always hold the most value.

Employee #1 at Rogue Evergreens, even if he steals my boots.

Beau (aka Mr. Bubba) has come a LONG way in the 4 years he's been in my life, and I smile like an absolute idiot every time he decides to give playing another go. Goodest boy around.

Did you know there is a pine tree that naturally smells like butterscotch and freshly-baked cookies?

If you catch the scent of Ponderosa Pine bark on a warm day, that underlying sweetness is unmistakable.

To capture the true essence of this incredible tree, we distill its needles & lower limbs. The resulting essential oil is beautifully complex and nothing like your typical, sharp pine scent. Instead, it offers a warm, earthy, and almost floral profile that perfectly highlights those unique, sweet undertones the Ponderosa is famous for.

The Klamath-Siskiyou bioregion is incredibly special.

As a forester, one of the things I love most about working out here is the sheer number of conifer species you'll come across. It’s actually one of the most diverse conifer forests in the world. You can literally stand in one spot and point out a dozen different species without even moving your feet.

That natural complexity is exactly what makes the woods around here smell so distinct, and it's a big part of why I do what I do.

What is your favorite conifer to spot when you're out hiking? Let me know below. 🌲
