🐺 What can wolves teach us about leadership, teamwork, and communication?

Join us at Neumann University on Saturday, November 21, 2026, for our Annual Philadelphia General Hospital (PGH) Lecture Series!

We are excited to welcome Linda Laskowski Jones, MS, RN, APN, FAAN, a nationally recognized nursing leader and speaker, who will present “Lessons Learned from Wolves.” This inspiring presentation will explore valuable leadership lessons drawn from the dynamics of a wolf pack and how they apply to healthcare, teamwork, and everyday leadership.

Our 16 BSN students, alongside Associate Professor Dr. Luckowski, have been putting their nursing knowledge, compassion, and commitment to service into action.

From caring for patients in community clinics to experiencing a different culture and healthcare system, this journey has been about so much more than clinical skills. It’s about teamwork, compassion, building connections, and learning what it truly means to care for others.

We couldn’t be prouder of this group and the way they are representing Neumann University!

🩺💊 Our Neumann Nursing Students continue to Serve!

Yesterday, our BSN students traveled to La Camblunal, Dominican Republic, where they helped provide care to the local community.

This time, a local church was transformed into a clinic for the day. Working alongside faculty, healthcare professionals, and volunteers, our students helped see and care for an incredible 107 patients! 💙💛

Each patient encounter gives our students an opportunity to strengthen their assessment and clinical skills while also learning something that cannot always be taught in a classroom- the importance of meeting patients where they are and providing compassionate, culturally responsive care with the resources available.

We are very proud of the work they are doing and the communities that have welcomed them during this experience.

107 patients cared for in one day- and another meaningful day of service and learning in the DR! 🇩🇴💙

💊🩺 Day 1 is in the books!

Our Neumann nursing students and faculty had a busy first day serving the community of El Cercado, Dominican Republic!

The team set up a temporary clinical at a local school and the children were especially excited to learn that meant an early dismissal for the day! 😃

Working alongside local volunteers, our students and faculty cared for 60 patients with a variety of health concerns l, including headaches, high blood pressure, and gripe (cold and flu-like symptoms). Students gained valuable hands on experience assessing patients, providing health education, and seeing firsthand how healthcare is delivered within the community.

And the learning didn’t stop at the clinic. 🏠💊Students also participated in home visits and spent time working in the pharmacy, giving them an opportunity to experience several different aspects of community-based healthcare.

After a full day of caring for patients, the group returned to the guest house and even had a local vendor stop by, bringing a little bit of the Dominican Republic right to their doorstep!

Day 1 brought plenty of learning, service, new experiences, and memories. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store for our BSN students from The Jacquelyn Wilson Fegley ‘71 College of Nursing! 💙💛

🌎✈️ Neumann Nursing Goes Global! 💊🩺

We are excited to share that 16 BSN students from The Jacquelyn Wilson Fegley ‘71 College of Nursing are traveling to the Dominican Republic alongside Associate Professor Dr. Amy Luckowski for an unforgettable global health experience at Solid Rock International Christian Clinic.

Throughout their time in the Dominican Republic, our students will have the opportunity to learn firsthand about healthcare delivery in another country, engage with local communities, and put their nursing knowledge, compassion, and commitment to service into action.

Experiences like this extend learning far beyond the classroom. They challenege our future nurses to broaden their perspectives, deepen their cultural awareness, and better understand how social, economic, and environmental factors influence the health of individuals and communities around the world.

We are incredibly proud of our students and Dr. Luckowski as they represent Neumann University and the College of Nursing through service, learning, and compassionate care.

Safe travels to our Knights! We can’t wait to follow their journey and hear about the experiences they bring home. 💙💛
