This kind of "stuff"/stories put tears in my eyes. The commitment and resilience gained by 'getting up' after each fall and difficulty. Do not let anyone tell you you are crazy or non-sense or it's in your head or 'go home and rest' or eat health and exercise---what the heck that means to you, anyway??? the list goes on. When you are not feeling well and even when test results show 'normal'. "Normal" is not optimal. You are NOT crazy. Just need to keep searching and get help when you hit the wall. This is Nadia Nadim. She was born in Afghanistan. Her father was murdered by the Taliban when she was 11 years old and her family fled to Denmark on the back of a truck.

Nadia has scored almost 200 goals in professional football and represented the Danish national team 98 times.

She's completed medical school and is studying to become a reconstructive surgeon when her playing days are over.

God... doesn't this speak to my heart and hit home!

When I was in corporate, often, I was looked upon as the "trouble maker" because of my why x, w, z questions. And no, I didn't stop asking why because of looks or smart comments I'd get.

Now, as a health coach, I'm not only asking my clients the WHY (+ other questions) but I am also teaching them to ask WHY.

Ironically, it starts with the why, then the how, then the what.

The moment we stop being CURIOUS about our bodies, wellness, energy, people, relationships, and life in general, we are going downhill. That's the type of ride I am not interested in and I hope nobody in their sane mind is seeking either.

...unless it's a fun roller-coaster at an amusement park that will shake me up for a 1-2 minutes. I love those :)

Stay curious. Don't let anyone shut you down, especially when it comes to your physical, mental, and emotional health!!

Thanks Maria for the great class a couple of weeks ago. I felt wonderful afterwards and hopeful that I could regain some strength that I have lost due to favouring a sore hip. Before the class I did exercise 3 to 5 times a week but have been limited by an arthritic hip and by being overweight. I was a little worried before the class that I would have trouble doing the exercises. No reason to worry. Maria was so helpful in advising how to adjust the exercises to suit my limitations. I have continued to incorporate what I learned from Maria in my exercise. I feel I am gaining strength and flexibility. I was so glad to learn how to do bursts. I would highly recommend Maria's classes to anyone and would definitely participate in some online training in the future.
I admit I was a bit confused about HIIT training. Maria's class was great. I could easily see her demonstrations. She was able to correct my form and push me to go faster. It was comfortable being in a group session, I intend to sign up for another class, much to my surprise!
Maria--this was an absolutely fabulous class. Well-run, well-organized, good pace, and you made it FUN! (I was sore the next day, so I guess I needed it!)
