We’re looking for 6–8 people to join us for a virtual Community Focus Group and give us candid feedback on everything from our emails, social media and Facebook groups to our website, Action Center, resources, events, communications, and more.

What’s working? What isn’t? What could we do better? What would you like to see more of?

We want to hear it — the good, the bad, and everything in between. Your feedback will help us make HAMA stronger, more effective, and easier for our community to engage with.

🚨 THIS is what we’ve been up against.

New reporting shows that Pfizer gave $500,000 to two organizations that later urged Massachusetts lawmakers to eliminate the religious exemption from school vaccination requirements.

While well-funded organizations were working at the State House to change Massachusetts law, Health Action MA was there fighting to preserve the exemption.

And we held the line.

8 years.
4 legislative sessions.
27 bills and amendments stopped.

That didn’t happen by accident.

Parents showed up. Our advocates showed up. Our team showed up. And because of your support, we were able to have professional lobbyists at the State House tracking legislation, building strategy, meeting with lawmakers, and responding when threats emerged.

But this fight is not over.

A new legislative session is coming, and our opposition is already preparing.

We don’t have deep corporate pockets behind us. We have YOU.

For eight years and four legislative sessions, Health Action Massachusetts has held the line.

We have gone toe-to-toe at the State House with large, well-funded organizations advocating to eliminate Massachusetts’ religious exemption. And this article offers a glimpse into just how significant the financial disparity can be.

Pfizer’s own disclosures show substantial funding to organizations that later joined the coalition urging Massachusetts lawmakers to advance H.2554. That does not establish that Pfizer funded their advocacy on this particular bill, but it does show the kind of resources present in the broader vaccine-policy landscape.

And yet, after four legislative sessions, Massachusetts’ religious exemption is still here.

Health Action MA doesn’t have those kinds of resources. We have families. We have grassroots supporters. And we have people willing to stand with us.

We already know the next legislative session will require more from us than ever before. If we are going to continue this work, we need to raise funds like never before.

HHS IS ASKING FOR PUBLIC INPUT. 📣

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has opened a public comment period seeking input on how federal vaccine recommendations are categorized, developed, and communicated.

This is an opportunity for parents, patients, healthcare professionals, and members of the public to share their perspectives directly with HHS.

There is no script to follow, and you do not have to answer every question. You can comment on the issues that matter most to you and share your experiences, supporting information, or suggestions.

HHS is seeking input on topics including vaccine recommendation categories, informed consent and individual decision-making, scientific evidence, timing and flexibility, religious freedom, and public trust.
