💡Have you heard of DINTEO? It’s a way to take control of your food cravings.
And it’s a 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 tactic to handle those times when you’re suddenly confronted with yummy baked goods at work or a display of your favorite (junky) food at the grocery store.
🗣All you do is ask yourself: “Do I need this eating opportunity?” (DINTEO)
Like I said - sounds strange, but it actually helps take the control away from the food and gives it back to YOU! It’s surprisingly powerful.

🤔Playing a video game can help stop a craving.
💡Researchers found that playing a game of Tetris actually helped people overcome their cravings!
📲Scientists think that playing the game distracted them long enough for cravings (which usually last just a short while) to pass.
💡In a study published in the journal Appetite, college students who were having cravings either played a video game or waited for the computer to load.
💥A quarter of the game players reported their cravings went away.
👉🏾Note: it doesn’t have to be Tetris, according to the researchers. It can be anything that requires focus and has plenty of eye-grabbing visuals!
🏃♀💪Do you ever feel extra-hungry after a hard workout? 😋
✅ It’s actually pretty common. I know that some workouts (especially cardio based) can do that to me.
💥Almost immediately after, I notice cravings and feel hungry.
🍽🥤Plus, sometimes after a workout it’s tempting to think that we “deserve” it for working so hard!
🤪But the truth is, usually I’m craving quick energy (like carbs!) and get hungry for things that aren’t the best for reaching my goals.
💯 To stop all this before it starts, I drink a shake a hour or two before my workout or either right after my workout. It makes a HUGE difference!
✅It’s just enough to keep me fueled and also help me get better results from my workouts.

⏰It’s to SLOW DOWN when you’re eating by at least 50%. Take your time and really CHEW your food. You get extra credit for turning off all distractions when you’re eating, too – no TV and no phone!
👉🏾Studies show that people who say they eat fast gain weight over time and are more than 115% (!!!!) likely to become obese.
👩🏾🍳Plus – when you take your time to actually TASTE what you’re eating, you get to enjoy it more, and your digestive system has a much easier time doing its job!

⚡According to researchers at Mount Sinai Hospital, doing this can make cravings less intense, plus it blurs the image of the food you’re craving in your mind!
🦶🏾👂🏾Tapping your foot on the floor and tapping your ear also works, but not as well as tapping your forehead.

🍽CRAVING PASTA? → try the fiber/protein-rich varieties made out of lentils or chickpeas (these are surprisingly filling!!!!).
👩🏾🍳OR, use spiralized veggie noodles – they are literally everywhere now in the grocery stores, fresh and frozen. Tip: try using zucchini or eggplant slices in your lasagna.
🍓CRAVING ICE CREAM? → try whipping up a frozen dessert bowl with 1 cup frozen berries and ¼ to ½ cup of your favorite milk. Blend in ½ scoop of your favorite protein powder for more oomph!

What I do to stop cravings when I haven’t slept well the night before...
😵You know what I’m talking about … sleepless nights – the worst!💥
😴They can really throw you off your game – and also make you feel hungry because it throws your hunger hormones out of whack.
So here’s what I do when those cravings hit ...
Keep your goals in mind and make sure you eat foods that fill you up, so you aren’t so tempted. Have a healthy breakfast that contains protein and an abundance of water. It is also important to make sure you are keeping busy and getting enough sleep at night.

I find healthy food to eat instead! When I am craving something sweet like candy, ice-cream or etc. I knock those cravings by eating fruits like blueberries, strawberries, apples, etc., or I'll blend them to make a refreshing shake!
🍭Don’t let a temporary urge get in the way of achieving your goals!
💪YOU are stronger than your cravings … you just need to have a go-to strategy in place for when they strike, so they don’t knock you off course.
