In his 1994 book, A Beginner’s Guide to the Universe - The mathematical archetypes of nature, art and science , author Michael Schneider discusses the number 7 and its connection to music and sound:

“Music of the lyre was used to accompany and enhance the voice. But it was part of a larger administrative and therapeutic system involving colors, fragrances, flavors, textures, herbs and plants, minerals, metals, myths, agriculture, meteorology, and astronomy.

It was well known throughout ancient civilizations that music bypasses the intellect with the power to manipulate passions and emotions. In this way music was used to heal. As we find by being very quiet within an observing ourselves, sound has an effect on our inner substance. If we were more aware of the effects sounds have upon us we would be more careful about the frequencies we expose ourselves to.”

I was introduced to this book when i took a course at the Boston Architectural College in 2011.

In my sound sessions i incorporate colors, fragrances, flavors, textures, plants, minerals, myths and basic astrology in addition to shared experience. I love what i do!

It might look like i got my halo today but it’s just a camera trick! Fun day at the fair with Patti Casey and so many other friends! It was a ‘beautiful day in the neighborhood’. Thank you to all who stopped by my table !
