3 Things I Want Everyone Who Works With Sound to Know 🎶
As a sound healer and Speech-Language Pathologist who has studied spiritual sound and sound science for decades, here are three things every sound practitioner should understand:
1. Learn the language of sound.
Understanding the vocabulary of sound helps you communicate confidently about your work and explain what makes your practice unique.
2. Understand how human hearing works.
Knowing how we hear helps you protect your own hearing and create safer, more powerful sound experiences for others.
3. Everyone experiences sound differently.
Our nervous systems process sound in different ways. The more you understand this, the better equipped you are to tailor your sessions to different people and their needs.
If I could share just one thing with sound practitioners, it would be this:
Learn about the sound you're working with AND the human system receiving it.
That knowledge will transform the way you work with sound and the experiences you create for others.
My Safe and Powerful Sound course explores the science of sound, the anatomy and physiology of hearing, and how to bring this knowledge into your sound healing practice.
