Pulling this one out of the holiday photo collection because y’all need to see this carrot cake again. 😍🥕 And yes, I believe the frosting deserves its own moment. 😂

This is the carrot cake from Trim Healthy Table. If you have that cookbook, here is a little encouragement to pull it off the shelf and revisit a recipe you haven’t made in a while!

With holiday gatherings coming up, now is a good time to try something you might want to serve or bring. You can see how you like it, get familiar with making it, and put the ingredients on your shopping list before the busy weeks arrive.

I love having a few recipes I look forward to making. There is something comforting about knowing, “I’ve made this before, I enjoyed it, and I know what to do.”

What is YOUR favorite THM dessert to share at a gathering? Tell us the recipe and which cookbook it’s in so we can find it too! 💕

P.S. FREE participants, today, October 27, is the last day for your $69 Holiday Group price! Use the special link in your email to register. 🎄

Y’all, at some point we have to stop giving ourselves so much homework. 😂💕 Lose the weight, improve the habits, organize the house, manage the schedule, and somehow become a calmer person while doing all of it.

Taking care of yourself can start feeling like one long list of things about you that need fixing.

This week on Chattin’ with Coach Amy, Darlene and I are talking about something that has been on my heart: You are allowed to care for yourself without constantly treating yourself like a project.

Coming to you from Bay St. Louis, I’m sharing some personal thoughts about perfectionism, people pleasing, anxiety, and learning to enjoy the season I’m in. Darlene shares her perspective as a busy mom working on managing her time and being present with her family, even when everything isn’t finished.

Growth matters. So does enjoying an ordinary afternoon without feeling like you should be accomplishing something every minute. You can keep working toward your goals and still have lunch with somebody you love, take the trip, buy the flowers, or sit outside with your coffee.

Your life isn’t waiting for you at the finish line. It’s happening right now. 🩷

Comment PODCAST and I’ll send you the link to this week’s conversation with Darlene and me. 🎙️

One of my everyday staples is officially on sale. 🙌

THM Optimized Collagen is marked down from $50.99 to $45.99 during the current Trim Healthy Protein Sale, and y’all already know this is something I use every single day.

What I love about Optimized Collagen is that it is not just regular collagen. It is formulated as a complete protein with essential amino acids and added leucine, which makes it especially helpful when I am thinking about supporting muscle, recovery, and overall protein intake.

Most days, mine goes straight into my coffee. Simple, easy, and already part of my routine. The protein sale runs through November 3, so if you have been needing to restock, now is a good time.

Comment COLLAGEN and I will send you my affiliate link. Thank you so much for using it when you shop. 💕

Apparently you can dress up as Coach Amy for Halloween now. 😂🎃 Coffee, a THM cookbook, walking shoes, and a little tough love are included. You’ll have to supply your own Southern accent and willingness to ask, “Okay, but what is actually getting in your way?”

The costume version of me is pretty low maintenance. The real version is going to ask follow-up questions. 😂 Sometimes you know what you want to do, but figuring out how to consistently DO it in your actual life is where you need support.

That is what we work on inside one-on-one coaching. We look at your schedule, your habits, your goals, and what happens between making a plan and following through. Then we find practical steps you can practice, adjust, and build on.

You get a weekly 15-minute video call with me, plus messaging support Monday through Friday. And yes, encouragement and a little loving honesty come with the package. 💕

My private coaching calendar is full for the rest of 2026, but I’m gathering interest for January. The investment is $299 per month with a three-month commitment.

Comment JANUARY if you’d like the details and want to hear about January availability.

Now tell me, what accessory did they leave out of my costume? Keep it kind, y’all. 😂

What if you started paying attention to what you’re doing RIGHT instead of constantly focusing on where you’re falling short? 🩷

We are so quick to remember the workout we missed, the meal that didn’t go as planned, or the healthy habit we haven’t quite mastered. But what about all those little moments when we DID follow through?

When you made the healthy meal even though you didn’t feel like cooking. When you got back on track instead of waiting until Monday. When you chose to rest because your body genuinely needed it. Those things count, too!

Our October theme inside Blooms has been DO IT ANYWAY: Learning to Follow Through When You Don’t Feel Like It.

Tonight at 7 p.m. Central, we’re wrapping up the month with a teaching I’m really excited about: **Become a Woman Who Follows Through: Building Evidence That You Can Count on Yourself.

We’re going to talk about recognizing the progress we’re making, building confidence through our daily choices, and becoming women who follow through without expecting perfection.

Every Monday night, I get to spend time with my Blooms ladies for our weekly live teaching and Q&A. It’s one of my favorite parts of the week because we get to take what we’re learning and apply it to REAL LIFE!

I’d love for you to join us!

If you’re new to Blooms, your FIRST WEEK IS FREE! 🩷 Come experience the coaching, encouragement, accountability, and community for yourself. After your free week, membership is just $49 per month, and you can cancel anytime.

You don’t have to have it all together to join us. That’s what we’re working on together!

Comment PUMPKIN 🎃 and I’ll send you the details so you can join us tonight! 💕

Before you make a whole list of things you’re going to do better this week, look at what actually worked LAST week. 💕

Was there a breakfast that kept your morning simple? A supper everybody enjoyed? Did packing something before you left the house save you from getting overly hungry? Did you feel better on the evening you went to bed a little earlier?

We can get so focused on what needs fixing that we overlook the things worth repeating.

If a meal worked, put it on the menu again. If walking with a friend helped you follow through, ask her about this week. If having leftovers made lunch easier, cook a little extra.

You don’t have to make this week harder just to make it different. Y’all know I’m perfectly happy eating something I enjoyed again. 😂

And if something didn’t work, get specific about why. Did you run out of time? Forget an ingredient? Plan something that sounded good on Sunday but required more energy than you had on Thursday?

That gives you something useful to adjust.

As you look ahead, build on what helped you and make one change where you got stuck. That is a practical way to keep learning how to care for yourself in your real life.

What is ONE thing from last week that you want to repeat this week?

I want to keep making room for this part of life too. Time with my husband, a meal together, and a picture I’m glad we stopped to take. ❤️

There will always be something else I could work on. Something in the house, something in our businesses, another idea to develop, or another task I could squeeze into the day.

I enjoy my work, and I care about doing it well. But I also want to be present for the people God has given me.

Sometimes we get so used to being productive that we feel a little uncomfortable simply enjoying ourselves. We’re sitting down, but our minds are already making the next list.

This is your Sunday encouragement to let some good moments have your full attention. Put the phone down for a little while. Listen to the story. Linger over the meal. Laugh together.

Thank God for the people beside you and the ordinary moments you get to share.

What is one thing you’re looking forward to enjoying today? 💕

The potatoes don’t cut themselves, so I recruited a little help. 😂💕

I love this picture because there is so much more happening here than getting supper ready. Learning your way around a kitchen is a life skill. Washing produce, following a recipe, preparing ingredients, and helping put a meal together are things our children can carry with them.

It can take longer when we let somebody help. There may be more questions, more mess, and a few potato pieces that are very different sizes. But getting everything done as quickly as possible isn’t always the most valuable thing.

Sometimes the valuable thing is doing it together.

And ladies, that applies to us too. If cooking feels overwhelming, you are allowed to be a beginner. Start with one meal. Learn one technique. Make the same recipe again until it feels familiar.

Confidence grows when we give ourselves opportunities to practice.

Did somebody teach you to cook, or did you figure it out along the way?

The Christmas plates are out, the counter is full, and apparently I decided supper needed a little sparkle too. 😂🎄I love these parts of the holidays. Cooking something delicious, getting everybody together, and watching people fill their plates and settle in.

And yes, I want to continue taking care of myself through all of it.

That gets easier when I make a few decisions ahead of time. What am I serving? What can I prepare early? What can somebody else bring? And what am I eating earlier in the day so I don’t arrive at supper hungry enough to eat the centerpiece? 😂

Those practical decisions are part of what we’ll work on inside my 8th Annual Holiday Group, Eight Gifts of a Healthier Holiday.

From November 22 through December 31, we’ll have coaching, Live in the Kitchen cooking sessions, live Q&A, THM-friendly recipes, years of holiday resources, and our NEW Holiday Bingo challenge!

I want you to enjoy the food and the people while feeling confident about how you’re caring for yourself. Having support and a plan can help you spend less time worrying about your choices and more time enjoying the gathering. ❤️

Comment HOLIDAY for the details, or visit southernandhealthycoaching.com/holiday. Public early bird registration is $79 through November 8.

🎁 Blooms ladies, TODAY, October 24, is the last day for your special $59 price! Use your designated registration link inside Blooms to receive your discount.
