An incredibly meaningful program put together by the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) and their CISM team. ❤️
Thank you for bringing in Travis Howes to share his powerful story and the realities of serving as a Marine, Law Enforcement Officer, and Firefighter. His willingness to speak openly about how these experiences impacted his well-being and his family is a reminder that the weight of the job doesn’t stop when the shift ends. It follows us home, and it impacts the people we love, too.
💙 We all have a responsibility to look out for one another. To recognize when a peer may be struggling, to speak up when something doesn’t seem right, and to remind one another that asking for help is not a weakness. Sometimes, one conversation can change everything.
Even when someone feels surrounded by darkness, there is light beyond it. And there are SO many people ready and willing to reach out a hand, walk alongside you, and help you find your way toward it. No one should have to navigate that darkness alone.
Pictured here are members of the Southern NH CISM team who attended this important program.
As the founder of SHIFT Integrated Wellness, Candice Alizio, LMFT, and co-owner Johanna White, LCMHC, are proud to stand alongside and support the people and organizations committed to these missions. This is what it’s all about: showing up, breaking the silence, and making sure our first responders know that help is available and hope is real.
Check on your people. Speak up. Reach out. Be the hand someone needs. 💙
