Day 1 of 🌱💚

From exploring the incredible community impact of Gardopia Gardens - Education Based 501(c)(3) NPO to conversations about navigating misinformation in nutrition and healthcare, today reminded me that meaningful change starts with connection.

We can have all the research, expertise, and resources in the world, but if we aren’t investing in our communities, building trust, and listening to the people we’re trying to serve, we’re missing something essential.

And this is exactly why Nourish After Cancer exists.

In a healthcare system and world that too often prioritize profit, productivity, and efficiency, I believe we have to be intentional about prioritizing the human experience, too.

We slow down. We listen. We make space for the messy, complicated, deeply human experience of living through and beyond cancer.

Because people deserve more than information and recommendations. They deserve to feel seen, heard, and supported.

Here’s to continuing to learn, challenge our perspectives, and build healthier communities together. 🌎

Sometimes life asks you to make decisions that are drastic, life-altering, heavy, and hard as f**k—and somehow, in the middle of all that uncertainty, you find yourself sitting in a Starbucks with a pumpkin spice latte trusting that everything you just blew up your life to protect is making room for something more beautiful than you can see yet.

Maybe that’s the whole thing: not knowing what comes next, but trusting it’s about to unfold in your favor. ✨

If you’re in a season where you need someone to hold space for you without judgment, without pressure, and without expecting you to have it all figured out, I’d love to support you.

The Remission Reset was created for the woman navigating life after cancer who knows she’s ready for something more, even if she doesn’t quite know what that looks like yet. 🤍

comment “RESET” below my love, you don’t have to figure out what comes next alone 🫶🏼

Park. Donuts. Zero apologies.

Sugar is sugar. Coconut or cane, your body doesn’t know the difference and it doesn’t care.

👉🏼What it does care about is whether you can eat a donut without it becoming a whole thing.

That’s the work.

The fatigue you’re feeling in remission isn’t laziness. It has a name, and it’s actually addressable.

Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) can linger for years after treatment ends, and most survivors are never told that. They’re sent home, given the all-clear, and expected to bounce back. When they don’t, they assume something is wrong with them.

Nothing is wrong with you. Your body went through something enormous, and it’s still recalibrating.

There’s no single answer for everyone, but there are real tools we can explore together to help you get your vitality back. You don’t have to accept low energy, low motivation, and brain fog as your new normal.

Health isn’t only the absence of disease. It’s how you actually feel in your body, and you’re allowed to want more than “fine.”

📩 If this is where you are right now, my DMs are open.

Wrapping up the long weekend with BBQ leftovers, homegrown tomatoes, and two very enthusiastic pups who had opinions about all of it. 🍅🐾

Connecting with yourself through food doesn’t require perfection. It requires noticing. The days it feels good, it feels really good, and that feeling is worth filing away, because your nervous system knows the difference between doing something from genuine nourishment and doing something from obligation.

Some days are harder than others. That’s not failure, that’s just life being human. The practice is coming back to the joy when you find it, using it as the compass, not the goal.

And especially for women who’ve spent so long overriding what actually feels good in favor of what they think they “should” be doing?

📍 You’re allowed to let joy be the data.

Hi, it’s me, Taylor. The gal sending you evidence-based nutrition advice by day and pulling out moves like this by night.

I sprinkle joy on everything in this house. Grocery shopped without anxiety? We’re dancing. Didn’t skip lunch yesterday? We’re dancing. Woke up and chose yourself today? We are absolutely celebrating that.

This is the energy inside Remission Reset. Warm, a little weird, and genuinely rooting for you at every single step.

If you’ve been looking for a dietitian who takes your health seriously but doesn’t take herself too seriously, hi, that’s me ☺️✨

Every woman I’ve ever worked with already knew more than enough about food.

She knew vegetables were good for her. She knew processed food wasn’t helping. She’d read the studies, followed the accounts, taken the notes.

And she was still stuck. Still scared. Still eating for a body that felt foreign after treatment.

Because information was never the missing piece.

What she needed was someone to sit with her in the uncertainty. To hold the space while she figured out who she was now, in this body, in this life, after cancer.

In Remission Reset, you don’t have to pretend. You don’t have to perform “fine” or shrink your feelings down to a size that’s easier for everyone else to hold. Your feelings are never too big here.

What you get is someone who believes in you, who walks beside you while you rediscover yourself, and who isn’t scared of any of it.

Not more rules. Not more lists. Permission to actually live in your body again.

If that’s what you’ve been looking for, I’m Taylor. I work with women in remission who are done white-knuckling their way through recovery.

My friend called me today.

She had stage four metastatic breast cancer. And the thing that broke her wasn’t the diagnosis. It was this: it’s so expensive just to survive.

Insurance gaps. Exhaustion. Trying to manage quality of life while the system looks the other way.

I’m a cancer nutrition dietitian. I pick up the phone. I listen. I’ll voice memo you at 10 pm, because you matter.

I’m building a space where women in remission are seen as humans first, not just patients navigating paperwork or the broken healthcare system.

Welcome to nourish after cancer. 🧡

If any part of this landed for you, follow along, because this is the conversation I’m committed to having out loud.

One of the phrases that perks my ears as a cancer dietitian is when women say “I know I shouldn’t eat...”

Dinner last night: ramen with frozen peas and carrots. I didn’t have a prepped protein. I wasn’t feeling great. The goal was to eat.

👉🏼One of the biggest shifts I help women in remission make is letting go of the idea that every single meal has to be a perfectly optimized, cancer-fighting plate. You eat roughly 20+ meals a week. One of them can be ramen with whatever’s in the freezer, and the week still balances out just fine.

Nutrition by addition means you’re always looking for what you can add, not what to cut. Last night I added two vegetables to something fast and warm and comforting, and that was genuinely enough.

Quick proteins I could have added if I had them/wanted to:
- tuna or salmon packet
- frozen shrimp
- boiled egg
- tofu
- leftover cooked meat
- preshredded rotisserie chicken
- edamame

📍SAVE this for the next time you spiral over an “imperfect” meal. 🍜
