The more I let go of striving, comparison, control…
the more room there is for peace, purpose, gratitude.

It’s a good reminder that the richest parts of life often aren’t the things we chase — they’re the things we notice, receive, and give thanks for.

What are you no longer chasing?
And what are you receiving instead? 🤍

Canned pumpkin isn’t just for pie!

It’s an easy way to add fiber, vitamin A, and a boost of nutrition to meals you already love.

Here are a few of my favorite ways to use it ⬇️

🧀 Grilled Cheese – Spread a thin layer of pumpkin purée on your bread before grilling. It pairs especially well with sharp cheddar.

🍝 Mac & Cheese – Stir pumpkin into your cheese sauce for extra creaminess and a hidden veggie boost.

🍔 Sloppy Joes – Mix a few spoonfuls into the meat while it simmers. It blends right in and adds richness.

🥤 Smoothies – Blend pumpkin with Greek yogurt, banana, cinnamon, and milk for a fall-inspired breakfast.

🍎 Greek Yogurt Spice Dip – Mix plain Greek yogurt with pumpkin, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and a drizzle of maple syrup. Serve with apple slices or graham crackers.

🌶️ Chili – Add ½–1 cup of pumpkin purée to your favorite chili recipe. It thickens the chili without changing the flavor much.

🥣 Oatmeal – Stir pumpkin into warm oats with cinnamon, pecans, and a splash of maple syrup for a cozy breakfast.
Sometimes supporting your health doesn’t mean making complicated recipes—it can be as simple as adding one nourishing ingredient to meals you’re already making.

🎃 Which one are you trying first? Or do you have another favorite way to use canned pumpkin?

One thing I’ve been thinking about lately is how much our bodies are designed to respond to the rhythms of nature.

As the days get shorter and the air gets cooler, I don’t expect my body to feel or function exactly the same as it did in the middle of summer. Instead of fighting the change, I try to adjust my habits and work with the season.

Here are a few things I’m focusing on this fall ⬇️

☀️ Getting outside in the morning.

Even if it’s just a short walk with my boys (sometimes in our pajamas!), I want to get natural light into my eyes early in the day. It helps support my circadian rhythm, boosts my energy, and sets me up for better sleep at night.

💪 Continuing to move my body.

I’m embracing walks, strength training, and outdoor time while the weather is still comfortable, knowing movement doesn’t have to look the same every season.

🍲 Choosing warm, nourishing meals.

This is the time of year when soups, roasted vegetables, and cozy meals naturally sound more appealing, and I lean into that.

💡 Dimming the lights in the evening.

Since the sun sets earlier, I try to reduce lights and screens by turning off the overhead lights, turn on warm lamps, and turn my phone to red spectrum setting.

🤍 Giving myself permission to slow down.

Instead of feeling like I have to maintain the fast pace of summer, I’m trying to embrace a little more rest, margin, and presence.

I’ve found that when I align my habits with the season instead of trying to power through it, I feel more grounded, energized, and connected to the way God designed our bodies.

Nature changes with the seasons.
I think our routines can, too.

Do you notice your body craving different things as we move into fall?
