Fall called. It wants us to talk skincare. 🍂

When I created BareRitual, I wasn’t looking to make something that would “fix” your skin or promise to stop it from aging. I wanted to make something really good for the skin you already have.

This is where your skincare starts.

And believe it or not, this is the part of the process I originally fell in love with. Before the LLC. Before the labels, the shelves, and the pretty jars — I loved this part.

Taking something that doesn’t look like much, slowing down, working with it, and watching it become something beautiful. I think somewhere along the way, I realized that’s true of a lot of things.

We’re always so quick to want the finished version. The successful business. The finished home. The season of life where everything finally feels like it’s fallen into place.

But there’s a lot of beauty in the becoming, too.

Right now, it’s just locally sourced beef fat sitting in a bowl in my kitchen. But with a little time, a little patience, and a whole lot of care, it’ll become the creamy tallow at the heart of so many things I make.

It doesn’t look like much yet.

But neither do most beautiful things in the beginning. 🤍
