UPDATE:

MULTIPLE LINE OF DUTY DEATHS

Steven “Steve” Robinson, 59
Pilot | REACH Air Medical Services

Jessica DeVries, 48
Flight Nurse | REACH Air Medical Services

Steve and Jessica were killed September 30 when their medical helicopter crashed shortly after departing Catalina Island while transporting a patient to the mainland.

Their patient, Catalina Romero, 45, also lost her life. Flight Nurse Brad Sparks and Romero’s son survived.

This photograph was taken several years ago in Northern California as the United States Honor Flag performed a memorial tap on a REACH aircraft.

Today, it carries a much heavier meaning.

To our friends at REACH, we stand with you.

Rest easy, Steve and Jessica.
We have the watch.

🇺🇸 One flag. One nation. All heroes.

Cal-Ore Life Flight & Reach-19 had a busy day completing multiple flights from Brookings to Eugene and Medford. With three medical aircraft at Brookings Airport, crews transported critical patients to facilities offering a higher level of care. Great work by the Cal-Ore/Reach team.
