WE LOVE OUR GREENPOINT COMMUNITY!!! Had a blast playing in the rain for the first ever Greenpoint StoopFest . It was so magical to connect with our neighbors, and be in our community. Lovely to hang with journalers who have been part of Emily Chertow ✏️ JOURNALING for years and to connect with so many new faces!!!!!! StoopFest was a reminder that community is not just a joy bit it is rather a means to survival. We will keep on keeping on!!! As always, the magic is in THE PEOPLE!!!!!!! Shout out to everyone who helped made the rainy day so full of joy and light!!!! Shout out to all the local orgs and businesses!!!! Should out to the magic of the people and the delight that is our North Brooklyn Community 🤸💕🙏🪄🤟🫂🫶🌻🍁

the PEOPLE!!! it’s always about the people. 🥹

that’s what makes any experience we put on so special. every human who walks through the door contributes to the collective energy we create together. THAT is where the magic happens.

the energy at our talent shows is yes, because of the tone we set on stage, but also because of how YOU respond to it. the cheering, the encouragement, the love, the willingness to show up for one another. it’s what makes these nights so special.

Swipe to see the magic that MacKenzie Huneke and myself held in community at the powerful Flower Cat in Greenpoint last night on the 13th. I love creating magical things with magical people.

The power of power of pen 2 paper. After we took collective deep breaths, and open circle, we then collectively put pen to paper and explored prompts and conversations around intention and moments of listening to intuition and feeling our magic.

To honor earth one of the four elements we explored we made alters on the go at one of our stations. It was so beautiful seeing everyone’s personalities come out as they decorated their altar on their journals and in their notebooks.

We broke out into small groups, focused on the four elements of earth - fire - air - water. The fire group spent time journaling and then opening in conversation

We invited everyone to bring some thing to build and create a crate collective altar together 🫶

after the workshop, I came out to find half of the group hanging out and connecting socials becoming friends hehe that’s what it’s all about baby!

Sorry, I can’t help but to document the beauty that is people Journaling!!!!

we did not just journal and collage. We also spent time in deep collective conversation and exploring our birth charts and how we’re tied to the elements more.

can you say Mary Kate and Ashley?!?! unplanned but we both showed up matching in such a lovely way. Thank you for following us on this journey and creating with us. We love you.

Thank you for having me this week Fordham University. Incredible to bring my Journaling Classes curriculum to the women at Fordham.

Stepping onto a college campus to facilitate felt intense this week. Holding a room full of women studying and preparing for professions in business is not a duty I take lightly. I’m grateful to create a container for them to slow down and take care of themselves during a semester and season that is full throttle.

*And I’m especially grateful to create spaces where our anger, rage, and frustration are safe to express, explore, and talk about*

There is so much power in giving ourselves permission to name what we’re feeling; especially in spaces where we’re so often taught to keep moving, performing, and pushing through.
