🖤 No woman should have to navigate her reproductive health feeling dismissed or alone.

Yet many Black women do.

At A Space for Movement, we believe movement is about more than exercise. It's about caring for our bodies, understanding our health, and creating spaces where we feel seen, heard, and empowered.

That's why we're honored to welcome Patria Aguila, MPH, for an intimate conversation on Black women's reproductive health.

With more than 20 years of experience in public health education, Patria has dedicated her career to helping women better understand their bodies and feel equipped to advocate for themselves.

Because public health is personal.

Prepare to wave, jump, and w**e your way toward connection, community, celebration (and some great cardio)!

Whether Carnival is familiar to you or completely new, you'll be invited to move, laugh, and experience a vibrant expression of Black culture alongside community.

Movement has a way of breaking down walls—within us and around us.

It sparks an individual journey of healing that becomes contagious. That's the vision behind The BLAQUE Movement.

We're creating thoughtfully curated wellness experiences that celebrate Black culture, cultivate well-being, and help shape more abundant Black futures.

We believe Black communities deserve wellness experiences that are as beautiful as they are transformative, and that liberation starts with each of us.

A Space for Movement is one expression of that vision—and we're just getting started. 🙏🏿

Come move with us on August 1st. 🤎

🎧🙏🏾 Meet Josue.

Some people teach meditation.

Josue invites us to listen differently.

Hip-Hop Musica Divina was born from his own search for belonging, understanding, and a deeper experience of God. By bringing together Hip-Hop, contemplation, and prayer, he's created a practice that asks us to slow down long enough to hear what's been speaking to us all along.

In Josue's words:
"I really do believe that the key for us as Black people is to be free from within; that is how all freedom starts."

Swipe through to learn more about the practice he's bringing to A Space for Movement.

📍Brooklyn 🗓 Saturday, August 1
Come as you are. Leave a little freer.

Tickets are limited. We'd love to have you with us.

🥊 Step into the ring with Kat on August 1st.

✨️ ➡️ Swipe through to get to know the woman leading our boxing class at this year's A Space for Movement.

Kat has represented Haiti on the international stage as the first woman to box for Haiti at the Olympic World Qualification Tournaments. With over a decade in the ring, she's bringing a wealth of experience to our community.

But what drew us to Kat wasn't just her résumé.
It was her heart for the Black community.

It was her love for "helping Black people build a deeper connection with their bodies."

It was her belief that echoes one of our own: "movement can make us better people—for ourselves and for others."

That's the kind of person we want leading our community.

At The BLAQUE Movement, we believe the people guiding your experience matter just as much as the experience itself. We want you to be taught by people who are excellent at what they do and who genuinely care about the people in front of them.

Come experience boxing with Kat on August 1st.
Come as you are. Leave full. 🤎 ✨️

A Space for Movement was created because we believe Black wellness deserves more than another workout.

It deserves room for joy. For honest conversation. For culture. For rest. For connection.

On Saturday, August 1st, we'll spend the day moving together through:

• Guided Hip-Hop & Contemplation
• Boxing
• Carnival Conditioning
• A Women's Wellness Conversation
• A community Kickback with good food, music, and people

Every part of the day was designed with intention.

Come as you are. Leave full.

At The BLAQUE Movement, we've spent years dreaming about what it looks like to create spaces that care for Black people deeply.

Because we know that when we're well, it touches every part of our lives ~ the way we move through the world, the way we love, the way we rest, and the way we show up for ourselves and one another.

That's why we created A Space for Movement.

A Space for Movement is a one-day gathering and a glimpse into the kind of spaces we're committed to building. Ones where wellness feels like belonging, where community is part of our healing, and where Black people have spaces designed with our humanity in mind.

On August 1st, we're gathering in Brooklyn for our second annual A Space for Movement.

A day of restoration, culture, celebration, connection and movement.

A day to strengthen our bodies, pour into ourselves, celebrate one another, and remember that wellness can be joyful and deeply communal.

I don't know who needs to hear this...but things will get better! 💯⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One of the most exciting things about fitness is that it's based on the expectation of a FUTURE that is more promising than your PAST. You're putting in the work to get stronger, fitter & healthier because you plan to be alive in the future and you want to show up as the best version of yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What if we approached EVERY area of our lives this way? What would happen to our health, our relationships, our finances, our purpose if we dared to believe that our futures were more promising than our pasts? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That is a fundamental belief at BLAQUE. We exist because we know that the future of Black people is more promising than our past. We exist to support and reinforce that better future! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That is why we are developing the first fitness and wellness app designed for the Black community - The BLAQUE Movement App. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We are giving 200 people, 90 days of FREE membership on The BLAQUE Movememt App! we have less than 60 spots remaining so make sure to lock in your spot ASAP through the LINK IN THE BIO.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
•⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your future will be better, so go and make space for movement today!
