WellWise Services Area Agency on Aging helps older adults and adults with disabilities. Serving Jackson, Hillsdale, and Lenawee Counties in Michigan.
Region 2 Area Agency on Aging provides programs and services to older adults and adults with disabilities so they are able to live as safely and independently as possible in their homes and communities.

Our Featured Provider for the month of October 2023 is Personal Accounting Services (PAS). PAS helps our participants by providing fiscal intermediary services to those who have chosen to self-direct their care at home. Today is National Bosses Day, and a great time to recognize one of the BEST! ⭐️ Julie has been at WellWise Services for 16 years and the CEO for many of those. Julie is an advocate for her staff, our agency, program participants, and those in need in our community. She is professional and business minded. She is warm, compassionate, and understanding. Her open-door policy allows her to be accessible to her staff when they need her; she is present. She has a great sense of humor and smile. COVID-19 has led to decreased activity levels for many older adults which leaves them susceptible to falls. A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns about Falls addresses the fear of falling, how to increase activity levels safely and more! Tri-County Office on Aging is partnering with Region 2 Area Agency on Aging to offer this workshop starting Monday, July 19th, with a Zoom orientation today. If these dates don’t work for you there are several other dates and times to choose from. Older adults living in Clinton, Eaton, or Ingham County are welcome to register for any of the workshops listed. For questions or to register call Christine at 517-887-1450 or [email protected].

Have you and your family been counted yet? Leaders from the Jackson community teamed up for a special video message that invites you to complete the 2020 Census. Parts of Jackson have under a 50 percent response rate, so making sure your Census form is completed is very important to the community!
