Genicular nerve radiofrequency ablation (RFA) uses controlled heat to interrupt pain signals from nerves around the knee. For some patients with chronic knee arthritis pain, it may provide relief for several months or longer, helping them stay active and potentially delay or avoid knee replacement surgery.
