What if the life you truly desire is bigger than the one you’ve been allowing yourself to imagine?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.

Today, inside The Thrive Mastermind, we explored the extraordinary power of creating a compelling vision for our lives.

Not another goal.

Not another thing to achieve.

A vision that makes us feel something.

One that pulls us forward.

One that reminds us what we’re actually doing all of this living for.

And I invited these brilliant women to begin somewhere a little outrageous.

To imagine the most magnificent life possible.

No limitations.

No obstacles.

No worrying about whether someone else might be disappointed by their happiness.

No immediately asking HOW.

Just permission to dream.

Because sometimes, before we can create something extraordinary, we have to become willing to imagine it.

And here’s something else I’ve been thinking about:

What if personal transformation didn’t have to be another exercise in pressure, discipline, and self-improvement?

What if it could be an experience of curiosity, creativity, self-love, and PLAY?

What if we could actually enjoy becoming the people we’re becoming?

I don’t want to build a magnificent life at the expense of the human being living it.

I want the whole experience.

The joy. The love. The aliveness. The adventure. The expansion.

And I want that for you, too.

So here’s a question worth spending some time with:

What would you allow yourself to want if you knew absolutely nothing was standing in your way?

💛✨

Listen to this for when life gets hard…

…and especially when you’re ready for something new!

Here is what I know is true:
You were made to THRIVE, my friend! ✨

So let’s be about the business of doing that, shall we?

I love you! 💛

Now, let’s go!!!

In 2021, a vision arrived that changed my life.

In 2026, another vision is taking shape—one that could change healthcare.

And here’s the fascinating part…

Both emerged three years postpartum. 🤯

Hormonal? Biochemical? Neurological? Energetic?

Or is it simply that I’m finally sleeping again? 😂

I don’t know exactly. But both seasons have brought an extraordinary opening into creativity, ambition, and possibility.

Here’s what I’ve learned.

I’d been exploring the principles behind Stress Mastery Academy™ for more than a year before creating it in 2021.

The ideas were already there.

What grew was my capacity to recognize them, trust them, and bring them to life.

And this is what fascinates me most:

Your nervous system state doesn’t just influence your ability to pursue a vision. It can influence your ability to SEE that vision in the first place.

Chronic stress can narrow our attention to survival, responsibility, and what’s immediately in front of us.

But when we cultivate greater nervous system stability through coherence, we can create more access to clarity, creativity, and possibility.

And from there?

We build the capacity to become the person who can actually LIVE the vision.

Now, in 2026, that next vision is the Clinician Stability Initiative™.

Bringing this work into healthcare systems through Vital Works Co., with the potential to transform how we support clinicians, strengthen healthcare performance, and ultimately serve patients.

A win-win-win. 💛

But the most beautiful part of this journey isn’t just what I’m creating.

It’s who I’m becoming in the process.

In 2021, I was learning to trust the vision.

In 2026, I’m learning to embody it.

Still learning. Still expanding. Still becoming.

And so grateful you’re here for the ride.

There’s so much more to come!!! ✨

Let’s go!!! 💛

A client called me a witch this week. 🧙‍♀️✨

And I think she might be onto something. 😂

She meant it as a beautiful compliment about how I work with my mind: with intention, coherence, and love.

It’s not the first time I’ve been called a witch. But it might be the first time I fully received it as the compliment it was intended to be.

Which got me thinking…

How many of us have been conditioned to fear the very power we were born to use?

I didn’t create my mind, consciousness, or the life force animating this human experience.

And yet I have access to it.

And so do you.

I HAVE spent years developing the capacity to work with my mind and nervous system intentionally.

I spent much of my life addicted to stress. Pressure, pushing, and overriding myself felt familiar.

Coherence? I had to cultivate it.

Intentionally. Repeatedly. Over years.

I’m still practicing and expanding.

Because the more stability I cultivate within my human system, the more access I have to myself.

To clarity. Intuition. Creativity. Choice.

As a former surgeon and a scientist to my core, I’m fascinated by the relationship between physiology, thought, emotion, and the lives we create.

I believe we’re expressions of an extraordinary creative intelligence. Created in the image of a Creator.

Science and soul both invite exploration.

What if your relationship with your own power is one of the most important relationships of your life?

Not to control every outcome, but to participate more consciously in creating your life.

We were made to thrive. We were made to create.

And anything that separates us from that capacity is worth questioning.

So tell me… if someone called YOU a witch, how would it land? 🧙‍♀️

Offended? Amused? Honored?

What might that reveal about your relationship with your own power? 💛✨

Maybe you’re not operating at the edge of your ability.

Maybe you’re operating at the edge of your available capacity.

Those are not the same thing.

Stress doesn’t only affect how you feel.

It affects how much of you is available to meet your life with.

Your ability to think clearly.
To regulate emotion.
To tolerate uncertainty.
To see possibility.
To stay present when things get hard.
To respond instead of react.
To access creativity, curiosity, perspective, patience, and choice.

Because under sustained stress, the brain and nervous system adapt.

Attention becomes more oriented toward what feels urgent or threatening. Cognitive flexibility can narrow. Emotional reactivity can increase. Higher-order thinking and intentional decision-making can become harder to access.

And this is where we make a profound mistake:

We interpret reduced access as reduced ability.

I should be handling this better.

Why can’t I figure this out?

I used to be so much better at this.

Maybe I’m just burning out.

But what if this isn’t revealing the limits of who you are?

What if it’s revealing the limits of what your current physiological state allows you to access?

Those are very different problems.

And they require very different solutions.

You cannot endlessly demand better thinking from a human system that is chronically overextended.

Sometimes the next move isn’t another strategy.

It’s restoring the internal conditions that make more of you available again.

Your intelligence.
Your creativity.
Your discernment.
Your emotional range.
Your leadership.
Your capacity to choose.

This is why nervous system stability matters.

Not because the goal is to walk around calm all the time.

The goal is access.

More of you available to meet your life.

More capacity when things get hard.

More space between stimulus and response.

More ability to choose rather than simply react.

Maybe you were never at the edge of what you were capable of.

Maybe you were at the edge of what you could access.

Sometimes, the life you want doesn’t require more from you.

It requires more of you to become available. ✨

This work changed my life before I ever taught it to anyone else.

There was a time when I was extraordinarily good at performing under pressure.

I could push.
Achieve.
Endure.
Keep going.

What I did not understand was how much of myself became unavailable when my internal system was carrying too much for too long.

Learning to work with my physiology changed that.

It changed the way I experienced stress.

The way I recovered.

The way I made decisions.

The way I related to myself.

The way I showed up in my work, my relationships, and my life.

Eventually I understood:

This was not simply stress management.

It was capacity-building.

That realization became part of what I built into Stress Mastery Academy™.

And I am so deeply proud of this work.

Not only because of what is inside the program.

But because of what becomes possible when it gets into the hands and lives of good people.

People with families to love.

Teams to lead.

Patients to care for.

Ideas to create.

Communities to serve.

Work in the world that only they can do.

When they have more stability, more clarity, and more capacity available to them, they get to bring more of themselves to all of it.

That matters to me more than I can say.

Because I want us to keep building proof that success does not have to require sacrificing ourselves in the process.

We can do meaningful work.

Create meaningful impact.

Build beautiful lives.

And remain deeply connected to ourselves while we do it.

That is the work.

And it is an honor to share it. 💛

What if being hard on yourself isn’t what makes you successful?

What if it’s actually making success harder to achieve and even harder to sustain?

The key to doing really hard things, really big things, seeing them through to success, and then actually being able to sustain that success might require you to give something up.

Not your ambition.
Not your vision.
Not your standards.

The habit of being so damn hard on yourself.

This is something I’ve been playing with for the last decade of my life.

But in the last few years, I’ve gone all in on exploring what becomes possible when I truly value myself.

When I know my own worth.
When I trust myself.
When I believe in myself.
When I listen to the desires in my heart.
And when I become the woman willing to walk them out.

And what I know now is this:

I have not been able to do the really big things in my life, the things that matter most to me, by becoming harder on myself.

I’ve been able to do them by becoming more deeply for myself.

More trusting.
More compassionate.
More respectful of my own humanity.
More willing to stay beside myself as I grow.

Because sustainable success cannot require abandoning yourself in the process.

So if you’re finding this today, maybe this is the reminder you needed.

It’s autumn. 🍂

The season itself is showing us how beautifully things can fall away when their time is complete.

And this habit of being hard on yourself, my love?

It has got to go. 🍂✨

I have tears in my eyes writing this. 🥹

I know what it is to build a life from the outside in.

And I know what it is to build one from the inside out.

There was a time when achievement was part of how I knew I was okay.

I became a surgeon. I could perform. Accomplish. Push. Override.

Until I couldn’t.

Burnout and addiction eventually brought me to a place where the life I had built could no longer be sustained by the human being living inside of it.

As devastating as that chapter was, it gave me an extraordinary opportunity:

I had to learn how to build a human being who could hold her own life.

Not through greater force.

Through greater relationship with myself.

Through stability.
Awareness.
Self-respect.
Self-trust.
Self-love.

And my life began changing with me.

Recently, I rattled off everything I’d accomplished in about 30 days to a friend and thought, Holy s**t. That’s actually impressive. 😂

But almost immediately I realized:

I’m not most proud of what I did.

I’m proud of HOW I did it.

Joyfully. Alive. Present.

I haven’t had to brutalize myself into productivity or become less human in order to create more.

I’m still wildly imperfect.

Thank God. 😂

I’m not interested in becoming superhuman anymore.

I’m interested in becoming a super human.

One who can dream enormously and remain connected to herself.

One who can create from intention rather than fear.

So participate in your own becoming.

This is your life.

Your playground.

Your greatest experiment.

By all means, give yourself every resource to live it well. 💛✨

This moment is special…

8 + 8

A dance with the infinite. ♾️

Thank you, my love, for the dance of my life.

To think of what we’ve been through together. And how, through all of it, we keep coming back and choosing each other and this life again and again.

I still choose you.

Thank you for your friendship, your partnership, your support, your love. 💛

May we continue to love harder than any challenge and remember that we are never alone.

We are home. 💛
