⬇️Down 66inches between the two of them in 6 months. A lot of blood, sweat, cussing and laughing going on with these two!

💪🏼3x a week they train with me before work.... I know some days are tough to get out of that cozy, warm bed...... but the results of their work ethic shows in these pics!

🏆One of my absolute favorite non scale victories occurred last weekend. They purged a ton of clothes that do not fit anymore!

I started this project from scratch; a plain green wreath. I’m pretty sure the animal in the center is a moose, but I’m pretending it’s a deer to go along with my theme! 🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌

🦉🦉Angelina and the reindeer🦌🦌

I’m having a great time decorating this year. Maybe it’s because of Covid and I feel stuck in the house so I’m making it cozier. Whatever works, right!

I have lots of lil projects going on and I can’t wait to share the Grand Finale soon!

Are you looking at my transformation pictures and thinking, I can or cannot do this????

The answer is : YES YOU CAN!

☝🏼But let me explain something:

✅I worked on this transformation 24x7.

✅I made mistakes, I had setbacks, but I picked myself up and started fresh the next day.

✅I learned something new every single day!

✅Even on my rest day I made sure to stay very active. "Active Recovery Day"

🎯Focus on ramping up slowly🎯

1. get your food right first!

2. Start exercising by walking, with intensity, 45mins a day

3. Make sure you are drinking enough water!

4. Sleep! Start w 15-30mins extra sleep a night

5. DON'T GIVE UP!

🌟 If you have an opinion, speak up (this is the hardest for me as I didn’t want to ‘offend’ anyone)

🌟Set boundaries and prioritize YOUR time. No need to make excuses to say ‘no’ to people or feel bad about it.

🌟 Erase the word ‘sorry’ because not everything is your fault.

I love teaching people how to improve their nutrition. Most people are like "why does eating healthy need to be so damn confusing? Can't I just eat 'healthy' and that ought to be enough?"

For the most part, that works for a while .... until it doesn't. It will take you but so far.

You will read and hear that true fat loss is driven by numbers That is about CALORIC DEFICIT. However, that's not the case once we hit midlife.
-Hormones come into play
-Thyroid issues
-Digestive problems
-Elevated cortisol levels

True fat loss doesn't happen overnight. But it isn't rocket science either. Grocery shopping, cooking, and working out aren't technically "hard" tasks.

They are objective tasks. The hard part isn't about your meal prepping or training plan. The hard part is:

👉🏼Having a sh*tty day and wanting to eat the whole kitchen and all your emotions.

👉🏼Seeing other people "succeed" while you are on the struggle bus.

👉🏼Getting out of your comfort zone and wanting to go back to the way it was.

👉🏼Feeling socially isolated because you can't eat or drink whatever you want.

👉🏼Getting back on the wagon after you messed up for the 10,487th times.

👉🏼Trusting the process.

👉🏼Fighting your own impatience.

👉🏼So yes. Healthy eating is hard because it's all about MINDSET. It highlights the parts of you that are lacking, the parts that you need the most improvement on, the parts that lack self worth.

In 2008, I began this journey because I realized I was going to be a single mom. I made it a goal to be a hot mom. Yes, seriously. Just ask my bff.

Over the years, I have forgotten that person I was before.

Yesterday at the gym, i was talking to Mindy about hair cuts.😂

🌟

This led to me looking for a pic on fb to show her my short bob haircut. When she saw my before/after, she was blown away.

It reminded me I need to be proud of where I am today and where i started. Losing 90lbs in less than a year is a huge accomplishment. Over the years I've managed to maintain and make it a lifestyle. I'm not going to lie..... it is DEFINITELY HARDER TO MAINTAIN than to lose the original weight.

I often see that meme which says:

➡️Losing weight is hard⬅️

➡️Being overweight is hard⬅️

✅✅✅Choose your hard✅✅✅✅
⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️

I wouldn't trade the work it takes now to maintain my weight vs. being overweight.

☝🏼This weight loss thing is more mental than physical.

☝🏻Fit Mama Tip:

❓In case you were wondering, this is what 1tbsp of peanut butter looks like.

🥜Nut butters are the easiest to overeat. Do you know why? Because nobody wants to measure it!

🥜1 tbsp (measured) is a whopping 95ish or so calories depending on the brand.

🥄So if you dig out a heaping spoonful, I can guarantee you it's at least 150-175kcal.

📈Do this a couple of times a day and you've blown your caloric intake by 100-150 maybe 200 calories!

📈200 x 7 days a week is 1400kcal EXTRA.

😳That's almost half a pound of weight gain😳

⁉️What else are you licking off the spoon or nibbling on????

⚠️All these extra calories add up. If you're not tracking your food in a tracker, I highly suggest trying it for just one week.

I just hit a huge milestone today! I am down 50 pounds! The picture to the right was the end of may 2019 (220) and the picture to the left is today December 2019 (170). This journey may look glamours and wonderful, but it absolutely sucks at times.
