Two months post fibula ankle fracture. I've graduated to an ankle brace!! My next appointment with the orthopedic doctor is September 25th. Praying for removal of the ankle brace and beginning 5k training!! Woohoo!!

Great news!! The cast came off today!! My foot is sore, so I'll need some physical therapy...I'll be out on the trail in no time!!

Hello, JKM members. While I was in El Paso, I fell from a bicycle and I landed hard on my right ankle and I broke the "distal fibula at the ankle". I went to the ER and was stabilized. Long story short, today I went to my orthopedic doctor here at home and the boot was replaced by a cast. The great news is that I don't need surgery, and no torn ligaments!! Woohoo!! I'll be in recovery again, but I want to encourage you all to Just Keep Moving!!! If you can, post your pictures here so we can all cheer for each other!! Signed, Marty Alva.
