Weight loss surgery, but make it a haunted house šŸ‘» (swipe if you dare)

Every room in this house is something real from life after surgery. Some of them are funny now. Some of them still aren’t. And the scariest room is the last one, because surgery fixed my stomach, not my brain, and nobody hands you a map for that part.

Which room would you run out of first? Drop the number in the comments, girly.

(Bypass girls, room 6 is for you.)

Welcome to the haunted house nobody warned me about. šŸ‘»

The shower wall. The hairbrush. The pillowcase. If you’re a few months post-op, you already know these rooms by heart.

Hair shedding after bariatric surgery is real, and it’s one of the hardest parts nobody talks about before surgery. I remember picking up my brush and not wanting to look. It feels so small next to everything else you’ve been through, but it’s deeply personal. Your hair is part of you.

And now that it’s cold out, there’s a brand-new ghost in the closet: dry, brittle ends that snap the second your favorite sweater touches them. šŸ‚

Here’s what I want you to know: this haunted house has a way out. I started using Barimelts Hair Health+, kept showing up for it the same way I showed up for everything else in this journey, and slowly? My hair came back. Fuller. Healthier. Mine again.

If you’re living in the scary chapter right now, it’s not the whole story.

Post-op myths I’m ghosting this Halloween after weight loss surgery (bedsheet and all, and yes, I tripped once). Which one did someone say to you this year?

POV: you found the witchiest self-care on Cape Cod šŸ”®

A 30 minute black salt, hibiscus, oranges, cinnamon, and a honey foot scrub. The Witchy Foot Soak at Just Breathe Salt Spa in Hyannis is basically a potion for tired mom feet.

45 minutes on a warm BioMat breathing in super fine pharmaceutical-grade salt, where I could FEEL my nostrils clear.

Verdict: I’ll absolutely be back (& will bring friends!). Tell her Chelsea sent you šŸ§™ā€ā™€ļøšŸ§”

Halloween after weight loss surgery hits different (and the fun-size bowl knows it). Send this to your sleeve sister who already knows which house has the full-size bars!

My newest video is live and I finally showed you what I actually eat, 7 years after my gastric sleeve.

New video for my girls after weight loss surgery: What I Eat in a Day After Gastric Sleeve | 7 Years Post-Op (Realistic Fall Edition).

One real fall Thursday, start to finish. Vitamins before my brain gets a vote, protein first, the lunch I didn’t finish (on purpose), and the candy bowl that’s been staring at me from the counter all October. Plus the girl at the dinner table who used to sit there and watch everyone chew.

Grab your protein coffee and come sit with me (I may have gone on a tangent about the birch tree outside my office window... I’m obsessed. Moving on). Full video on my YouTube, link in bio.

Head hunger after gastric sleeve surgery, explained in six signs. 🧠

Okay, are you listening? I need to tell you something. And it’s important. So lock in.

Sometimes what feels like hunger is your nervous system waving a giant flag that says ā€œI’m overwhelmed.ā€ I learned this the hard way. I thought I was listening to my body when it would scream at me from the inside, so I’d feed it what I thought I wanted (I’m a savory, salty kinda girl). When the overwhelm, anxiety, and stress didn’t go away after snacking, I slowly realized that it wasn’t hunger.

Surgery changed my stomach. It didn’t change my brain. That part took mindset work, and it’s the work I do with my clients every single week.

Which sign was the ā€œoh no, that’s meā€ one? Tell me the number in the comments. (Mine was 3!).

Save this for tonight, and send it to the friend who eats over the sink. šŸ’ŒĀ

Greetings from Fall-mouth, Massachusetts. šŸ (I’m really proud of that one)

October on Cape Cod after weight loss surgery hits different. Before my sleeve, October meant finding a Halloween costume that actually fit me. Now I get to notice everything.

Adding to my gratitude list: the gentle sound of my grasses blowing in the wind, apple c***r mimosas, and the sand being warm enough for bare feet.

Romanticizing the every day isn’t about a perfect life. It’s about actually being present for the one you have.

What’s on your October postcard, girlie? Drop one thing in the comments. šŸ’Œ

A 60-second reset for emotional eating, and you can do it in your car. šŸš—

For sixteen years my car was my partial office. I answered DMs at red lights and in the pickup line, and some days the five minutes before walking into the house were the only quiet minutes I got.

That’s exactly why this reset lives in the car. It’s the in-between moment, right before the kitchen, right before the drive-thru, right before the day gets louder.

Am I hungry, or am I tired? That one question has saved me more times than I can count.

Save this for the next hard day, and send it to the friend who eats dinner in the school parking lot (no judgment, we’ve all been there).

If you want more tools like this one, my e-book PASSAGES, will provide strategies for the exact season you’re in. Link in bio. šŸ’Œ

Tell me in the comments: where’s your ā€œparked carā€ moment?
